Jump to: Newest in thread
My absolute perfect 3tier stand would be:
(1) Bottom tier:Finger sandwiches
(cut PERFECTLY equally)
With:
(1) Red Salmon & cucumber,
Egg Mayonnaise & Cress & Prawn Marie
Rose ALL on Wholemeal Hovis
& (2)Carved Ham Off the bone
(2) Middle tier:
Home~made Coconut & Raspberry
tartlets and Victoria Sandwich
(3) Top tier: Mini Sherry Trifles in
glasses and "of course" Jam &
Cream home~made SULTANA Scones
(Cream on top)
With a pot of "Yorkshire" OR" Ringtons" Tea in a china Tea~pot, mashed for exactly 5 minutes & served in china Cups & saucers ~ absolute bliss !!!
over to you what's on your 3 tier stands then ??? xx

This sounds perfect for me except I'd swap the coconut and raspberry for Bakewell tartlets. |

We had afternoon tea at York races last week.
Mini steak pies, this gorgeous tiny pizza type things, the sandwiches were great but the cakes were lovely
Plus it was £18 for both of us, which is stupidly cheap for where it was. |

Afternoon tea is my most favourite thing ever. I love going out for it. It’s like sport for me and my mum. When I was pregnant and she came to stay for 5 days we went to a different place for it each day!
Bottom layer - finger sandwiches on thick white bread with proper roast beef, homemade honey roast ham and pickle, and good cheese
Middle layer - freshly baked scones (plain) with raspberry jam and clotted cream
Top layer - mini strawberry tarts, proper caramel shortbread, mini Victoria sponge, some sort of panna cotta type thing in a shot glass and some sort of chocolate delice cakey thing.
And earl grey tea. And prosecco. |
