Why does anyone need to ask that within the first few messages? I don’t get it? Are people not willing to travel outside of their bit of the city? Or checking I’m from a nice enough part? So many people ask me this, and never explain why they want to know. |

I get that all the time, well not about Leeds, but Southend.
'Where abouts are you from?'
'Southend'
'Yeah, but what bit?'
'Well, you'll never come to my house, so what does it matter?'
Drives me mad! |

There and to the left a bit |
Making conversation and trying to establish if you have any areas in common that might spark a conversation?
Or perhaps just nosey and trying to pin you down to an area in the vain hope of bumping into you in Tesco via "Who's Near?"
Or any number of other reasons I guess. |

I’ll bear it in mind. Reckon they’d struggle to ID me from public pics though. I don’t usually have my baps out in the frozen veg aisle. |

That’s what I wonder. It’s too lame a question to be ‘conversation’ surely? Within a couple of messages..there’s so much more to talk about.. |

Depends on the person I think. Some really don't know what to say. They're pleased they got a reply and don't want to fuck it up.
Some are definitely married or attached and checking for locality because they've told me that's why they are asking.
Some just want to be discreet because of their jobs and don't want to be sending a face pic to someone they can't trust. |

I'm flying Yorkshire Airlines. Departing Leeds international airstrip, touching down 20 minutes later at Leeds international airstrip. Because if it's outside Yorkshire it's not worth bloody visiting. |
