Various ways to make them you can use either suet or butter etc.

Basic Recipe

2 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons butter

3/4 cup milk

Twists on that can be adding herbs, cheese etc to suit.

Good luck.

Self raising flour, suet, bit of salt and pepper and water....

You can get the mixes in the supermarkets ready to go.

4oz self flour 2oz suet pinch of salt about 6 tablespoons cold water .. Rub suet salt in flour and them water . Very easy add to stew or top of veg with lid on .. takes about 20 mins to cook .

are we talking about british dumplings... or are we talking about Buttermilk Biscuits....

if anyone knows where i can get some, or help me make them, i would love you forever...

its the one think i miss about american KFC's.. you don't sell the dumplings/biscuit here... and i need some to go with chicken for thanksgiving tomorrow....

but as a single mum i suppose your time is precious,i do make my own,but suffer from memory loss in between cooking sessions and have to go online to find our tv chefs recipes for things these days!.
