On my local news there's an article about fly tipping the local council have crushed a fly tippers vehicle ... and have said they'll continue to crush vehicles if they're caught fly tipping ..
I've no problems with the policy, however not long ago the same council started to charge for certain items at the local household waste sites ... it was said at the time this policy would increase the amount of fly tipping..
Have they created a problem oftheir own making

Maybe not created a problem (I'm sure there were flytippers before they started charging, but I don't think it helped. |

Im not condoning it but the tips around here are so bloody useless with whimsical opening hours I'm not surprised people do it.
Especially people who hire vans cos they don't have cars then can't get in.
That said, leaving your name and address on the stuff you fly tip is just fucking stupid |

Whereas my local recycling centre is fantastic. Long opening hours, Saturday and Sunday, bank holidays you name it.
Not long after I moved in here I hired a lwb van and cleared a jungle at the bottom of my garden. A quick glance in the back of the van and at my license for proof of address and they were fine. |

Its definitely worse here since the charges came in, theres been a water butt rolling around on the verge of the main road the last 3 weeks, the laybys are regularly littered with black bags.
I believe even local counsellors are trying to get the charges overturned as its costing more to clean shit up thats fly tipped than its making them. |
