I’ve had some horrible bikini waxes in my time - some looking making my pubis look like futurist art, others actually removing skin. The worst was armpit wax when pregnant though. Bleeding and bruises for many days afterwards. Am I unlucky or have others had similar experiences?

Hiding in the shadows

I have really sensitive skin in that area.

I can't shave, and have tried just about every removal cream product going with some horrendous results.

Started waxing last year, and finally found an answer to my rash issues...

Until the day before my birthday this year, when they used a new product.

I spent the weekend with Sudocreme slapped all over me fanny.

Wasn't the sexy look I hoped for, for my celebrations!

ST. AUSTELL, CORNWALL

I would say very unlucky. With proper training you shouldn't be bruised although a bit of spotting is fairly normal with a first wax. Hope you find a good therapist OP x

Lord no! Did your friend(s) look like they’d been gobbling icecream?

And do you know what the product was so that I can keep an eye out?

There may have been a few white marks left behind!

I have no idea what the product was, the wax she usually used is a gold colour, the new one was pink.

She's gone back to the gold now

I've never had a bad incident when I've been to a professional but had some incidents when using Veet

I’ve considered Veet since swinging but the number of bad incidents I read about on this site have really put me off!

Had a bad experience with those. I asked for the ‘therapist’ to remove hairs from one side to match the other.

‘Oh! You want them EVEN?!’

I'll never be waxed down below again. Both times left my bleeding, bruised and unbearably sore after.

I'll stick to veet.

I had my lower legs waxed and it was hardly worth having done.

My legs were prickly all over and I had to shave them anyway.

I had my eyebrows waxed which left the gap between them red and sore for a couple of days.

I've had bikini waxing several times and not had any problems.

I've used veet quite a lot and also never had any problems. The only thing about both of those is that you have to let the hair grow before doing it and that annoys me!

The only thing I've ever had go wrong was using wax strips at home.

Warmed the strip in my hand, placed it on my leg, pulled....... And the paper came off leaving the wax stuck to my leg!!!

Never had a beauty treatment in a salon. However I used the Veet Sensitive face stuff for a while until it turned the whole bottom half of my face bright red.

no matter

Just been today for a pedicure and wax..It hurts as skin sensitive suspect i have lost a layer of skin in the groin. (will look later)

Pedicure not as good she rushed me no massage ,shame as it is a once a year treat. Wont waste my money again.

nothing spectacular to report.
