Our advice would be to go by plane, train or boat as walking or swimming will take to long and you'll be tired when you get there.

pmsl...my life been oh so empty without them...but have been soooo blocked and am told that the Benidorm Port Authorities have been given strict instructions to strip search any of us attempting to get thru....so with that in mind I have packed some extra surgical gloves and KY jelly....just in case they've run out....have put diesel in my big red fun bus...and I am on my way......  |

Sharm is ok... but not really the real Egypt.. Its a make do town, more based to fleece than impress..
Best times I have had there are in Hurghada.. and Safaga, still good diving.. but better access on the days off for trips out etc...
but if your aware of all the scams etc.. you'll be ok for sure.. |

Even the driver explained thats why they keep their side mirrors folded in and dont buy new cars!!! |

Best one we had was a trip from Safaga to the valley of the kings.. Coach came well before dawn...
belting along the road... pitch black, no lights... then he suddenly stops, gets out lays his prayer mat in the road in front and starts chanting... ok... but the bus had no lights and was missed by about 30 other trucks we all dived outside sat on the sand and suddenly found feckin god too..... Hard to imagine.. but true!

When we went there we were put in groups and they gaves us names - our bus was called Hores (cant remember the translation) but every time he shouted us it sounded like he was shouting Whores!!!!
