I love a little trip away when I can. Be it fab or real world related.
I went to Malham walking recently, I’m going to Nottingham this weekend as there’s a museum I want to see. York for a vineyard tour in August. (As you can tell I’m really a boring little thing deep down!)
Where’s your fave places/suggestions. Can be in Uk or Europe.
I need some ‘things to see’ inspiration.
Ps. Lumley Castle in Durham is my suggestion for the Medieval theme night |

"Also I recommend Edinburgh. The beautiful architecture. The lovely people, art, history and stories mean that you don’t waste a minute x"
Edinburgh is probably my favourite city in the UK
Followed closely by Bath which has a great Spa there |

Admittedly it was some years ago but Ive been to one of those medieval nights there and to be honest it was very "stale" and unimaginative and staged filled with all the "usual suspects", hissing at the Black Knight etc. |

"I want someone to go to a couple of places with, starting with the British library for a couple of exhibits.
Boring I know but a couple look interesting"
Go by yourself. If you wait for someone to go with, you'll probably never get there.
I love London and York in the U.K., Prague and Berlin are favourites in Europe. |

OP there is lots to see and do here in Nottingham so I'm sure you will enjoy your visit.
The main museum in the city is at Nottingham castle and it recently closed for a refurbishment. The brewhouse yard museum is also in the castle grounds so it too is closed.
The beach is fun. It is in the middle of the city centre in the market square. Expect it to be very, very busy as it only opened a couple of days ago.
Wollaton hall is worth visiting. It houses a natural history museum and an industrial museum. The grounds are beautiful and the building was used as Wayne manor in the film the dark knight rises.
A couple of other attractions close to the city centre that I would recommend are stonebridge city farm and greens windmill and science centre. Both of these are free!
Have fun |

Love Edinburgh. Great place with loads of history. Fantastic bars and restaurants.
Our absolute favourite is Whitby. Lovely cobbled streets and alleys to explore and the harbour is lovely to sit and watch the world go by. |

The Western Islesor the highlands of Scotland for shear rugged beauty. The hospitality is great and you’re only ever a couple of hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh for a shot of urban history |

Granada in Andalusia...the Alhambra is amazing...make sure to book tickets for the palaces in advance and arrive on time as they won't let you in if late...best to get off the bus at the justice gate...that brings you right to them straight away,Then if you have time go round the red fort...after the palaces you can take a leisurely stroll round the generalife. |

Margate is a really nice place to visit.
It's got a soft sand beach
Arcades
A art gallery
Dream land fun park
10 pin bowling
And miles of neutral beautiful cost line to walk on and explore.
O and me of course to. |
