From all their branding. The reason is that he used the n word on a call discussing public relations backlashes! He said: "colonel Sanders called blacks n------"... He never faced public outcry. During the same call, Papa John talked about why he hated racism because he grew up in a town where black people were once dragged from trucks and killed.
So just to be clear, he's at a training event where they discuss how to respond to the media in case of evens like high profile executives being caught using racist language. Then someone leaked the content of that training to the media, who turned it into something it wasn't.
Welcome to 2018 where context is irrelevant. |

"Perception is reality.
"
I've had HR people say that to me and it's both untrue and ridiclious. At the time the company was loss making and i asked him if the company just needed to perceive itself as profitable and would that put money in the bank.
"
And if the perception drags down your profits, change the perception or go out of business.

Nice one. Well said.
Blah to those people who say we should all make our lives round "perception" instead of reality.
And if the perception drags down your profits, change the perception or go out of business.

Perception not facts have taken over politics, in the same way as it’s been in business for years.
I remember the Gerald Rattner quote that was taken out of context and ruined his (and his staff all over the country’s) business.
On the other hand, we have the current political leaders on both sides of the Atlantic able to get away with monumental mistakes and skeletons in their closets. |

The reality is that Papa John wasn't fired in order to move us all closer to a racism-free world. Someone saw the opportunity to get a free bump up the corporate ladder by knocking off the top guy. Suddenly there's a vacancy and people from that call are getting promoted. |

"Am I fortunate that I've never eaten their 'food'?
We only have our perceptions of things, whether or not it matches the reality "
Not every perception is equally valid, some perceptions are downright nonsense. You really wouldn't like living in a world where every possible perception was given equal weighting.
