Den of Iniquity

Why does it seem that people are embarrassed to say they like Coldplay ??

I love their songs and I'm not ashamed at all .

Just curious ??

I love Coldplay - one of the few bands I really want to see that I have yet to.

Cant believe you have openly admitted to this. They are and always should remain a guilty pleasure like rubbing jaffa cakes across your balls naked.

Parachutes was amazing but then a steady decline in material put me off them. I also find Chris Martin completely irritating.

A Rush of Blood to the head was a good album, everything after that is chart fodder bollocks.

Glasgow

Their albums usually have a fair amount of filler, but they have enough decent stuff to be pretty great live. The stick they get is just lazy to be honest - just became a bit of a cliche to slag them off.

80000 people singing along to Fix You at Glastonbury was a pretty amazing, and think you’d have to be pretty cold inside not to think that if you did see them live.

For all the stories about how awful they are, there are plenty of stories about grown men being dragged along to see them and ending up loving them live.

And to be honest since Chris Martin has been down the gym and built his shoulders up I am mesmerised by them, I think he's hot as fuck!!

There and to the left a bit

Nor so much as I'm embarrassed to say I like them - more a case of I don't like the music they are bringing out now - first two or three albums were great but they then got a bit samey and dull for my liking - appreciate they have a huge fan base though and are obviously well liked by many - they're just not for me.

West Wales and Cardiff

I may be wrong on this, but has there every been a bigger band with three more anonymous members.

I’m pretty sure the other three could walk down the streets of any town and barely get recognised by anyone.

Most bands usually have a stand-out member or two and a few who blend into the background. These guys take it to a new level.

I think they cop a lot of stick because Chris Martin comes across a bit too nice and bland. Lots of people yearn for a more “out-there” frontman.

Personally, I find their music dull!
