Should I mention I have an ASD on my profile, or will that put guys off?

Most people probably won't know what it is and probably get confused with an STD.

Nothing wrong with putting it. Be happy with who you are OP xxxx

It affects the prospect of meets, sometimes my messages get misunderstood, so bang goes my chance of a meet

I'd be concerned about people trying to take advantage if you make it widely known. Not that that's how it works, just, there are some sick people out there.

Brighton - even Hove!

I prefer the term ASC and they don’t need to know.

It's not about people taking advantage, it's more a concern how I come across

Oh no, understood. But my perspective:I suffered a serious injury three days after joining Fab. I was upfront that I was chatting only for now, meets were impossible etc. People absolutely tried to take advantage (and abused me, as if I'd injured myself at them). Given that, I'd be disinclined to show (perceived) weakness.

IV got ASD too. I think it's handy to explain why it may appear your not as interested or blunt or not picking up on signs. Another option is using the myers Briggs personality traits. I use mine INTJ. I'd bet yours would be similar.

However at the end of the day we actively look for the geeky types of couples and singles who generally get on well with people with ASD or have it then self.

Your always welcome to be socially awkward with us :D we also use an adult board game to break the ice with couples as it's easier for us than flirting lol

You have no need to explain anything to anyone on here. People's opinions of you based on any type of disability says considerably more about them than it does you.

Mark has an ASD. We explain it if people ask. But we don’t often tell people upfront.

But whatever you feel is best.
