How often do you change your image or style?

Is it a constantly evolving thing, changing with the seasons and fashion styles or do you know what you like and like what you know?

Maybe it's an age thing but in the last 6/7 years I've changed my image so many times I'm making my own head spin never mind anyone else's lol.

I've had the same haircut since I was 3 years old.

People laugh, but just you wait until the bowl cut comes back into fashion.

They won't be laughing then!

Hefty Hideaway

Ah no. I’m terribly predictable with my style. The most daring thing I have done is cut my long, long hair off on a whim. That was ages ago and it’s growing back nicely.

I’m comfortable with my style and I know it suits me. I’m too long in the tooth to go platinum blonde and start wearing jeans.

I think it’s something that changes as I do, a few years ago I was very ‘Dad’ in my look, I’ve changed that recently though as I feel that I’ve changed personally.

The nearest i get to changing my image is to change my hair dye..

Atm its dark purple but next month its going lighter and more violet and the type and colour of clothes i buy will match that

I used to change my image a lot. I think in part it was an expression not being happy with myself, or somehow using it as a way to deal with change in my life.

One of the biggest conscious changes I made in style was after coming out of a very toxic relationship. I had gained weight and spent 3 years wearing jogging bottoms. I threw away all my disgusting depressive clothes. I started wearing dresses and dressing to look nice/ feel good rather than cover up.

Yeah same here, (mr), joined with long hair and beard, cut it off, grew a Mohawk, then beard again, cut Mohawk off grew hair, shaved, grew beard back then got dreadlocks, in the last 6ish years, I think it’s evolution personally, more ink is probably next, been too long!

I dont think I ever have no. Ive had a go at being more womanly. Dresses and fancy hair but I can never settle and fall back into jeans and ponytails. Im having another go being a skirt/dress wearing school run mum but it doesnt feel natural

When I was younger - a lot. Like a couple of times a year or so because I was quite fickle and yeah. My hair has been red, blue, purple and green (that was a mistake)... I've had more piercings than I do currently, I've worn all the makeup and then none. It was quite fun sort of finding out about myself and experimenting how I look.

Now I've sort of settled on whatever this style is.

I haven't walked about bare-legged for 30 years. I didn't even wear shorts and I was slim with decent legs back in the 90s.

I have work style, casual style, going out style. They're all pretty much clothes, hair and make up based though, I don't tend to make any drastic long lasting changes.

I think us ladies are lucky that we have those options.

my own little sanctuary

My style is quite out there so it’s not at all uncommon to see me in a pair of jeans and a shirt to seeing me in camo jeans a leather jacket and military boots. I’m just a sporadic individual.

If I had the balls and could be arsed, I'd have an eclectic style.

I see clothing I like but can't put a look together.

I'd put on everything I liked and sod what it looked like.

My hair isn't thick enough to do much with it.

Not really, BoHo is an actual look and seems very hipster, I kinda just look like a vagabond.

"I've pretty much just been a hippy for the last 15 years. "

PS hippie / hippy

A long-haired 60s flower child was a “hippie.” “Hippy” is an adjective describing someone with wide hips. The IE is not caused by a Y changing to IE in the plural as in “puppy” and “puppies.” It is rather a dismissive diminutive, invented by older, more sophisticated hipsters looking down on the new kids as mere “hippies.” Confusing these two is definitely unhip.

Peace x

York

I've changed a few times over the years, I was a bit chavvy in my mid teens, then spent a couple of years dressing like everyone else my age in the late 90's, then became a hard-core clubber so most of my look (socially at least) was based around the Cyber/Gatecrasher scene for a good 5 years. Then I rediscovered my love for rock and indie music so started to dress more in worn jeans and band T-shirts. Now I just fluctuate between smart fashionable or the rock look depending on if I'm out in town or at a gig. I do own several smart suits and a dinner suit so can pull that off if the occasion requires too

Not very often if I'm honest wardrobe with a few pairs of jeans and Jean shorts with quite a few polo shirts doesn't really get much different for me really.
