Road signage and fines

Just been pulled over for going through a restricted road. £50 fine.

In my case, i was pulling out of a junction, turning left, so the road signs were sideways on from my view.

Ccan i check anywhere to find out if there should be a similar sign opposite the junction with a turning left restriction?

Ive looked online but no luck. Fair do's but just checking

You could take a look on Google Streetview? Other than that go back to the junction and take another look. If it's not signed correctly take some photos and appeal in court.

If there's doubt, bite the bullet and pay the fine

Yea, i was going to pay up, and if the signage looks dodgy, tske the council to small claims possibly

This is what you need for any challenge in court to the fine:

http://tsrgd.co.uk/pdf/tsm/tsm-chapter-03.pdf

Start with page 30. Look at paragraph 5.3 and follow the links to other Schedules and Chapters there as a starting point.

You then need to go and measure. Were those requirements complied with?
