Absolutely. His concerts are breathtaking. Seen him 5 times now (once was at Wembley when he collapsed on stage then got taken for heart surgery)

My dad has always been a huge fan but had never seen him live, so I got us tickets for the open air gig in Hyde Park, right at the front. One of the best moments of my life. I'm close to my dad, and seeing him smiling from ear to ear, totally immersed in the gig, taking it all in....made me cry happy tears.

His last album is wank tho and that makes me sad.

Yes!!!

Xmas day way back when. Mum And dad both brought each other Bat out of Hell (LP obvs, no such thing as cds back then)

I'm sure dad only brought it to listen to himself in case she hadn't bothered getting it for him

The connection between Meat and my dad is so strong, it's almost like my earliest memories of my dad have a Meat Loaf streak. He has the bat 2 album cover tattooed across the whole of his back. It may sound stupid but I dread the day Meat Loaf passes, coz it'll seem like a bit of my dad has too.

Wasted youth is brill. I laughed so hard the first time I heard it. God dammit Daddy, you know I love you, but you've got a hell of a lot to learn about ROCK AND ROLL!!

I totally get this..... my dad introduced me to the Bat out of Hell album and I was hooked, it always brings back memories of him picking me up from school, singing our hearts out and playing air guitar at the traffic lights lol, he bought the Bat out of Hell 2 album for my birthday, fucking loved Wasted Youth lol x

Yes yes yes!!!!!

Awesome album, your dad sounds cool as fuck

Love how my dad's choice of music has influenced mine growing up, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, little bit of Country, bit of Rock and Roll, dad's are awesome

Yes and more yes's! Add some beach boys in there and we got ourselves a memories album!

"Love that song

I'm a sucker for a good power ballad ....

I used to know someone who played me the Celine Dion version. I was stunned that she liked Dion.

She said she didn't but she loved the song. She'd not know it was a cover and was thrilled to hear the proper version

It's the first time I've heard that version.

I prefer the mighty Meat.

He's fucking awesome, saw him in concert once, it was amazing! I love that his songs are like a story

Absolutely. His concerts are breathtaking. Seen him 5 times now (once was at Wembley when he collapsed on stage then got taken for heart surgery)
