Hello there . Another splendid day off . I had a fantastic walk with pooch and it's a tad cooler here on the coast so we will go again in a bit before the football

In between I have been repointing the stone work on Taff towers .

Pooch and I had a delicious steak dinner .

Then bring on the football and good luck to the near neighbours in their footballing endeavours tonight

Mine could of ended in tragedy.

Some dick head thought it ok to shoot off a gun in a public woods during the day. A woods popular with dog walkers and families. No farmers with livestock etc around. No idea why a gun was let off. You don't get that kind of thing around here. Very low crime rate area.

Anyway, my 8mth old puppy bolted. She's never done so before. She goes to puppy school. She has a fantastic recall. Great with other dogs. Excellent behaved in any environment including charity dog walks, whereas there's 70 other dogs off the lead too. But this morning was a nightmare.

I can't remember the last time I felt so scared. I just couldn't find her. Groups of fellow dog walkers just ignored me. Two pensioner ladies stood and helped keep an eye out. A group of teenage lads aged around 14-16 came over to offering to help search for her. Eventually one of the lads found her under a bramble bush scared and excusted.

After alot of tears and thanks to those boys, I paid them a cash reward for their kindness and effort. Their parents clearly done a fab job raising them. I'm so grateful and relieved.

Somewhere nearby

Shite. Won tickets (1 of 100 people) to a secret gig of my fave ever group on Sunday in central London.

It clashes with the 3rd day of a 3 day family thing, but it’s nothing special that day, just at my parents home so I thought it wouldn’t be an issue. My mother (despite the fact I’m a fully functioning adult with a mortgage and a pension and responsibilities) went tits and got in such a rage that I was even considering going she hung up on me.

This is a group that I have had an obsession with since 1992, and its an absolute once in lifetime opportunity. I’ll never ever be so lucky to get this chance again. And I’m going to be gutted if I don’t go, but it’s going to cause an almighty shit storm if I do.

Total first world problem but I’m a bit gutted.

I'd go, I know it sounds selfish, but the family do is three days long! If you're making it to two of the three and as you stated its a once in a lifetime opportunity. Go and enjoy it!

Today was the same as usual. Boring job, although the work colleagues make up for it. It was, however, freezing in the office (I think it's cold when everyone says their melting). I wasn't the only one complaining it was cold.

However, I'm only thinking of good things tonight - come on England!

"Boring spent day in library looking for jobs

Similar to my day yesterday any joy on the job hunting?

No luck at all in anything did you have any luck

Nope, looks like I need to go to uni to get the job I want definitely don't want to do that! So I'm having a rethink

I did that but hit catch 22 I got the qualifications but need experience to get job so back to library again for me tomorrow

Its a stupid world we live in. I always thought experience in your career will get you far in life.... But what do I know

I knew mine wouldn't help lol I was bomb disposal in army hence uni to retrain as not much call for my specific skills

In some respects, thank f**k there isn't!!!

Best of luck, searching for a new career x"

Lol I can understand that and if honest I'm glad as well thank you and I hope you get the job you want

"It's been a bit Meh!

not good... What's made it Meh? "

I'm just a bit down and lacking motivation. I have a lot of angst resting on my shoulders. I'm trying hard to hold it all together.

Went to the Istanbul Military museum. Absolutely fantastic with the artifacts they have here (I love military history) but they were scrict with security and wouldnt let my father take his rucksack is, which had our water. Wouldnt have minded, if it didnt take 2 hours to see everythong . Then we went wandering, buying gifts (got myself a bottle of raki mmmm)

"Had this job since the back end of May, and it's slowly killing me. Up at 5am for a 7am start in Manchester. Ticking it off like a jail sentence. Absolutely knackered.

Not good. Is it a job you want to stay in or a stop gap? "

No. It's a Labourer's job. Ripping out an office block. Only took it cause I hadn't worked since Christmas. Not had many agency offers this year, either.

Yeah, will be 24/25 degrees for the next week. I'll keep doing it till it ends or I get something better.

Glasgow

Long drive back from Glasgow. A wee bit sad as I always miss it when I leave, especially as I wasn’t able to do everything or see everyone I would have liked to this time.

Rotherham

I've had a great day full of laughter....favourite laughter inducing moment was at the hospital. So I needed to have an adrenal test. I'm on one bed, a fellow in the one next door with the flimsy hospital curtains pulled round for privacy. My nurse and his, in unison explain they'll take a blood sample (they took it) before the explaining the synthetic drug they'll give us next can cause immediate fight or flight responses I.e. heart palpitations, nervousness, nausea, and a headache. Fellow next door, as the next syringe goes into the thing in our arms, starts wailing he's feeling nauseous, can the nurse see his heart beating, his head hurts....nurses response oh really, calm down fellow this is only a water flush...I've not given you the synthetic drug yet!

My nurse and I couldn't breathe through trying to suppress our belly laughter!
