Nessun Dorma... fantastic piece of music. Prefer Freddie doing stuff like Tie your mother down.

What a voice that opera bint has got though!

I adore Puccini and Verdi. A night at the opera is the very best night out.

Try'E lucevan le stelle' from Tosca (Puccini) and Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves (Verdi) from Nabucco.

I have never seen Nabucco performed live and its one of my deepest desires.

Also, have run through La Boheme at some point. Again Puccini, and some of the arias are magical.

On a slightly different note, I've seen Tosca a few times but I saw a brilliant clip the other day. Tosca's final act is to throw herself off the castle wall (an opera isn't an opera without loads of deaths!). In this clip there is obviously something over the 'wall' to break her fall. Unfortunately it was a bit springy and you see Tosca bounce up again!

This thread reminds me of my favourite YouTube video. Check out Paul Potts first X Factor audition. It’s had 174 million views. I guarantee it’ll make every hair on your body stand in end. Completely spine tingling.

Read the translation of the Chorus of the Hebrew slaves. Very evocative.

O Mio Babbino - Maria Callas. To die for.

Also Callas, singing Duettino Sull 'Aria (Mozart - Marriage of Figaro). it was used in Shawshank Redemption.
