And it's scarily busy...takes about half an hour to walk through it!

We love going to the german Christmas Market. Always used to go when we lived in Germany so a nice way to get that festive feeling started! Will be going to the one in Edinburgh next month for a wander round and some currywurst and gluwein

Don't understand the negativity. Yes, I know when I lived there it could be a pain in the arse thanks to the volumes of people but it brings people into the centre, and the people are generally having fun and spending money - what's not to like?

I did not say I never liked it I simply stated that it was maddness and I can't bare it as I don't fair well in crowds. I understand it brings people into the centre I was simply saying that we know its christmas

Because it blocks off part of the city centre that some people just want to be able to walk through at more than 1 mph!

It's a purely selfish complaint

I used to work there every year and really loved being away from home. Working 12 hours a day without a day off all through the season but it was so wonderful seeing all the people getting more and more excited as the weeks went by.. I miss the atmosphere but not the cold lol

Birmingham

love it, love it, love it

1st visit yesterday, no doubt will be back another few times. Agree the crowds can get a bit much and it can be expensive but I love it and its my treat to me in the run up to Christmas. Found a seat in one of the huts last night to sit in and could have stayed there all night. People all sitting together, relaxing and enjoying spending time with friends and family away from the tv and actually talking and smiling.

Christmas is on its way once I've made my 1st visit
