"Sex addicts may be given treatment on the NHS after global health chiefs formally recognised the addiction as a mental health condition.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has said people who suffer from the disorder for at least six months and experience substantial distress should be entitled to medical treatment."

.
Should the NHS be spending their money on more worthy causes like cancer treatment? |

As sex addiction is quiet often driven by depression and anxiety then why shouldn't it be treated?
And this habit of devising league tables of who and what should be treated is a very slippery slope |

"As long as it is diagnosed correctly then those suffers should receive treatment but alas I fear the undeserved will end up giving them bad press."

If it does become available on NHS, each Trust will decide where it sits in their priorities. Like with other illnesses and treatments , it will be a postcode lottery. |
