...I used to spend hours looking at the artwork on old LP records.

Anyone do the same? What were your favourites?

I can remember some as being quite impresive, ie: "Yes" and "Uriah Heep" both had great covers.

Iron Maiden album covers have good art work. Led Zep had some good work too.

Anything by Roger Dean. He did the covers for Yes. And H.R.Gieger (of Alien fame) who did an Emerson,Lake and Palmer cover.

Rodney Matthews is a great artist that does album covers...he did several for Magnum, including On A Storyteller's Night, The Eleventh Hour and Chase The Dragon....done many other bands artwork too and has his own website....check it out.

Caravan's In The Land Of Grey and Pink was a great cover and anything by Yes and The Moody Blues was generally good

Used to love the feeling of getting a new album and studying the cover and inside sleeve. Iron Maiden ones were always my fav, Derek Riggs was the artist, great artwork
