I guess it depends how far into it you go.
If you just watch the movies, I guess not. But knowing the ridiculous amount of back stories to each character would class you as geeky in my books.
Also there are other things which make you geeky, and when people know you like the different superhero universes, they do kind of see you as geeky still |

Pop culture has made geek stuff more mainstream but it depends on what that stuff is most normal people are only exposed to geek stuff from dc and marvel based on what has been made into films there is so much more that has not been shown or looked into....

This is soooo true most my friends like the movies just cos they enjoy how they are it drives them crazy how much back story I know cos grew up with comics and the stories and still do. So when we watch marvel films or dc stuff they constantly need me to explain plots and links to stuff.
Gaming is the same like most people I know play assassins creed like me but I also read all the books and even enjoy the manga cartoon
So yes someways it’s mainstream but there will always be a niche for true geeks |

I absolutely hate the way bookshops lump fantasy books in with science-fiction ones. It's lazy and shows no respect for either genre.
