That Red topped paper that shares its name with the round warm thing that has been missing for the past few weeks; and seems to be making a come back today ran a centre page story entitled "Shocking truth about swinging in Britain" -- http://is.gd/jIDQ
I just thought other people may be interested in how the tabloid press runs a story on Swinging; and the title seems to be for there more for effect than as a reflection on the contents of the article. |

have just red this article online and it shows that swinging can work if you are truthfull about it and dont hide things just be wary who you tell as not all support this activity |

I read this article earlier it a non story really, didn't give too much away and not the worst article on swinging.
Just 1 question though-
I thought Liberty Elite was in Lutterworth not Sheffield as stated by the Sun has it moved? |

Well his mum and the ladies at the school gates know all about it now and a few million others who read the currant bun. should be fun next trip to the supermarket.lol - thought the article was ok, but too be honest didnt really say anything that hasnt been said before in other papers. |

That article is pathetic.
I would really question the discretion of anybody that thinks speaking to a tabloid is sensible particularly when they talk about boasting to all their mates......

Liberties has always been one of the first clubs the media turn to when charged with getting an 'exclusive expose' on swinging in Britain. It's good publicity for the club and they welcome the attention. They sure won't miss anyone who gets a bee in their bonnet regarding privacy as there are plenty of swingers who don't give a toss who knows about their activities or not.
The article in The Sun was nothing new, nothing 'exclusive' and was no expose on swinging in britain - it was a couple of couples saying how much they like fucking other people. Some of the online comments at the foot of the article was interesting though lol. |

They've probably had a lot more swinging offers because of it as well,lol.

lc was approached by the sun 2 weeks ago they was wanting single females 18 to 21 as if lol, and our best friends was asked to do a article, they did and they arrived took the pics but before the interview began she said to them if you make us look like twats i will have you. next day they got a call saying they was to old as they was looking for cpls in there 20s to 30s, bullshit they new what this would bring all they needed to do was put that one little word to get the public to react the word (seedy) they dint need to form a opinion its there for people to have a pop at.
had to laugh reading the comments from the USA ffs are they blind or what do they really think it dont go off there (got news for them) we was going to go to a club in Tampa while we was in Florida looked into it all on a average Saturday nite they have a 1000 cpls thats just one club lol. |

You just might have known that something as tacky as a tabloid would lurrrve to run this kind of story. A few things i was irked at.
1/ They used the term "wife swapping". I mean, how sexist is that?! Swingers dismissed the term wife swapping for so many reasons and for the right reasons, i might add. Just makes me sound like a piece of meat, which can be passed around by my husband. Thanks, rag of a paper.
2/ The first couple had been together 8 months and swinging for the whole of their eight month relationship. This is quite an irregular situation. I don't think i talk to many couples who started swinging the minute they met. Which, of course, means that the Scum successfully utilised a couple who do not really represent most swingers at all. Well done!
3/ The use of pictures and full names is just bizarre. Sure, if they don't care who knows, then all power to them, but ffs it makes the whole thing seem like they are saying "look at us, we're swingers!". How tacky.
4/ The use of all the quotes were clearly taken out of context. Otherwise they would have used the whole comments in their entirety. This is misleading, but what else would we expect from a tabloid eh?
5/ And finally....the couple who run the swinging club...how indiscreet was that?! How unfair to their members/visitors? What was their motive? Just advertising? Because they sure as hell didn't seem to care about the privacy of their clientele. |

It just goes to show what a load of sad arses people who read the Sun, News of the World etc are. They read the sex stuff because they secretly want to do it - but have'nt the guts or the brains to ! |

Oh my goodness I just read it, I cannot beleieve the comments non swingers have left, I think its just re-enforced why many people dont put the faces on their profiles and tell people about swinging, ooo im a bit mad now I just had to coment back lol x |
