Why do people make excuses up rather than being honest, I am starting to notice this is becoming more and more common now, and even more so on this site. Any one noticing this

Halloween Town

To let you down gently

To pull out of a situation they no longer want

To troll you

Because all (gender/sexuality) are evil

Because all (gender/sexuality) are fakes

Because all (gender/sexuality) are evil fakes

Because the earth is flat and the chemtrails made them do it

Because its not them its you

Any of the above...

Once you see this guy adds the batting eyelid emoji with EVERY comment he makes, you notice it all the time. Oh and he’s 41 !!!!

Hmmm.

‘Sorry, don’t want to meet as you are pig ugly with a wonky cock and dodgy teeth’

Or

‘Sorry, we can’t meet that night as Grandma has lost her false teeth and we need to search for them’.

Sometimes a white lie is far kinder.....

in the night garden

'Sorry can't meet, shitting through the eye of a needle'

Usually has little comeback.

Maybe to spare people's feelings sometimes, not excusing it.

I know excuses can be infuriating but sometimes they're not excuses!

I've had to cancel socials and meets for genuine reasons - life gets in the way - and always felt bad. It's not always an excuse but you always assume it is.
