I'm ranting today about lies. Why do people have to feed people bullshit. I've found out tonight that someone in my immediate family has not only lied to me but lied about me to others and it hurts like hell as there was no reason for the lie. I'm actually close to just washing my hands with the person in question I'm that angry |

That’s awful - the lies will always come out and they look like arseholes when it does.
Take some time to think about it a bit more calmly and consider how it might ripple out to other family members if you cut ties

Us brits are ridiculously negative. I hate that we thrive or find common ground off of drama. Why can't we share positive moments more often

Large companies and the disconnect between their teams on the ground and their HR departments.
I'm waiting for a second interview. The team wants wants me on board, but the HR team are dragging their feet trying to organise the interview.
Why oh why do two HR managers need to sign this off? Its a bloody interview for gawds sake.
Surely it doesnt take 3 weeks to pick a flaming day?
God knows how long theyll take to actually get an effing offer out to me.......

Builders,contractors, surveyors... Aaaargh!
Kitchen refit started in March 2017!
Work stopped in May 2017.
Surveyor had marked a wall as non load bearing, turns out it bloody well was!
6mth battle to then apply for planning permission, which needed a structural enginders report... Which I refused to pay for, as I believed the original surveyor should have done his job properly and therefore his company should foot the bill.
Won that argument.
Then turns out original builders had sub contracted the work out, another 5mth battle trying to get them back out to finish a job, they've been paid for.
They were due to arrive today to look over what needs doing.
Yep... They've just cancelled, want to reschedule next week.. I'm away!
Over a year with half my kitchen - cooker, fridge freezer, tumble dryer in my living room, half my living room furniture stacked up in my bedroom.
And now another 2wk delay!

My close friend starts palliative chemo in a couple of days. My rant isn't about that - it's fantastic because it might give her a chance to do a few things she wants to before. Yeah.
My rant is sort of aimed at myself. For taking my body and my good health for granted and my family and friends and those I love and not really pushing myself out there. I like the relatively easy life but fuck. Sometimes I need to give my head a wobble and actually just do the things that worry me.
So I guess the shortened version of my rant is at me and my laziness and preference for being complacent. |
