New feature in privacy pic on forums

I've just came across this while I was lurking the forums without being signed in.
Basically noticed quite a few had no pictures to Thier posts....yep not even a blurry one....or shadow 
So I had a look in privacy settings and seen you can now disable you picture from non members who lurk the forums.
I disabled my....but my question is did you know about this feature?
And now you do will you use it? |

I didn't know, I've enabled the feature where non registered users can contact me (doesn't work) I know I haven't spoken to them before I enabled it. And I can't see the feature your talking about either. X |

Log out and view the forums and you will see what I mean  |

It isn't a new feature. I've been on this site on and off for 7 years and it's always been there. As has the ability to to stop search engines from harvesting pics and data as well, those are the first 2 things i ever deal with when i re-join. |

First thing I did when I joined was browse through settings. First thing I do on all social media is check provacy filter etc.. |

I knew about hiding your profile from non-registered users; is that what you meant?

I'm guessing it's been in privacy setting for longer than 7 years. I was a member of a sister site to Fab for 3 years before joining here for the first time and it was always in there privacy settings a s well. |

I do unless i'm at work during the day. Why would you want to look at all the goodness on here using a 5 inch screen if you don't have to |

Yes you can - the little pictures are blurred and profile names are masked |

Oh yeah, only works in desktop though.
Thats all I use....can you view the forums on the mobile app without being signed in?"
I wondered why some profile pics were missing when not signed in! Thanks OP. |

I don't think it's new. I'm sure I set this up tweaking the setting when I joined. Going of the amount of people who didn't know this it's well worth highlighting it on here as I'm sure most of us would like things this way. |

As it was one of the first things you did when joining....it's strange that yours is the only pic showing on this thread when viewing not logged on  |
