I’d say it was a half decent performance, England had control of the ball about 80% of the time but it’s hard to play against a team who are openly assaulting your players every chance they get. Bunch of dirty bastards. Even one of their coaches shoulder barged one of our players as they came off. Disgusting behaviour. |

Agreed, we played pretty well and just didn’t put the ball away or we would have been clear when they equalised. Can’t defend for shit which is a bit worrying tho. Bring on Sweden! Saturday 3pm sunny afternoon in the beer garden, life don’t get any better |

It must be hard to play football against a team that arnt really trying to play football.
Columbia waited till the 77th minute till they got a cross it. They hadn't tried a counter attack before. They hasn't attacked with possession and numbers going forward until then.
England had tried and tried to break them down and it would of been simple if that yellow was a red.

I don’t think it’s harsh at all, the moment the high press went he dropped the midfield back ten yards and told them to defend for 15 minutes, that’s all they had to do. That goal was coming. That said who cares? We may not be the best team in the world but we are in the World Cup quarter final, on a sunny Saturday afternoon! The carnage will be immeasurable |

I agree Mcguire had a brilliant game, Stones and Walker (apart from the sloppy pass) looked good. As a whole I thought the defensive unit worked well.

VAR is only as good as the blind twats in the VAR room. If the guy got sent off for the headbutt, Columbia would have still had 12 men. The ref was useless at keeping the antics under control. |

The only game in town is a winning one, substance over style, get the job done and the history book will show that, they never say how well they did, mostly... Boring wins now over flair playing losers. |

Agreed, I’ve seen many unfortunate losses after decent performances. We’ve played well belgium aside, I’m all for a shit 1-0 win with the goal going in off of someone’s arse and a semi final appearance. I’m not sure many of us will have sobered up by said semi tho |

"Can't understand why vary didn't take a penalty? "
Because he said no when asked and wasn't confident |

What a difference in two nights.
Japan loosing the night before. Felt very sorry for them. A team who made their fans proud. Just like last night, correct result.
Could Columbian fans be proud of that last night? Fucking disgrace if you ask me |

Unilad reminding us of 24 years ago that Columbian player got shot for missing a penalty at the WC.
How do you create that pressure in training? |

I heard a little story about the Japanese team, they left their changing room absolutely spotless and left a note, in Russian saying thank you. |

And the fans stayed and cleaned the stadium
A team and fans that anyone would be proud of |

Tv figures are a in from last nights game.... 24.5 million people!!!
And that is not included people watching online or in pubs and clubs and big screens
Saturday 3pm could be the biggest number of the year... ( any England semi and the final itself will be shown on both channels) |

Debating on whether to watch the game in a pub or to go into Newcastle city centre and watching it on the big screen
I prefer drinking my beer rather than being showered in it lol |

Haha yeah spending £4 on a pint of shitty lager just to throw it in the air.
By the looks of it I'm playing my first game of cricket in 2 years. I'm such a twat at times. I wasn't even pissed when I said 'oh go on then' but by the looks I will miss it |
