I have never sent them messages but believe some people do.

This has been my experience. Though to be fair, women can afford to adopt a far more passive role here. They can sit back and filter through the flood of messages for the best and respond in kind. I can be a daunting task, as i've seen with a couple of fab friends!

The one and only time I ever got a message anything like that, I was on my way to the airport. Admittedly it was a little bit more subtle -asking If I wanted to accompany her in a hotel room she had for the night.... me and my non fab lifr getting in the way...
