me too..

It's usually followed with a challenge about why I don't do something mentioned in my profile.. like car meet or hotel etc...

I hate those kind of messages, it’s usually to ask something perverted or disgusting but my curiosity gets the better of me.

Can I ask you a question?

Well the answer is always yes you can, but what they actually mean is *may* I ask you a question? To which the answer is invariably no.

Then they ask something lame, then you try to politely to get rid of them, then you get the you're hot/faf/or some other lame shit to follow it up.

Before you know it you've an inbox full of shit, and you end up blocking them for your own sanity!

Worst first message ever

Here and There

I delete them straight away. Just irks me slightly. Attempting to engage me that way isn't going to work. If they had a genuinely decent question, serious or even better totally ridiculous I'd be way more inclined to answer if they just asked it straight away. An intriguing first line will always catch my eye.

I've borrowed an answer from someone I've met recently:

While you may ask the question your ability to ask it is yet to be determined.

Just waiting for the chance to try it now

I've had this before. I simply say go ahead and see what they want to discuss. I'm not the opening question Police, save my judgement till I understand a bit more what they have to say.
