Kept in for, the amount of time, the court orders him to serve after eafing guilty to contempt of court. It's what he would expect of those he 'reported' on outside their trials.

He pleaded guilty. He could have appeal led against his sentence but it appears he hasn't.

I rather suspect he has made a calculated decision that a few months in an open prison is worth the money he will make as a "free speech martyr" when he gets out.

Reply privately (closed, thread got too big)

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

There's no discussion. He pleaded guilty. He was serving a suspended sentence for an identical. The judge explicitly stated during his previous trial what the consequences would be if he repeated his actions. He repeatedly acknowledged hexes breaking the law and tge potential consequences of imprisonment while "reporting on the trial"

He got what he wanted which is martyrdom and a huge increase in support.

He also groveled to the judge after pleading guilty at the earliest opportunity to make sure he got off as lightly as possible.

I see Katie Hopkins has commented on a trial in a probably contemptuous way.

She's obviously realised as well that martyrdom can be monetarised.

Kept in!

He needs to learn that there are rules around the privacy of court cases for a reason! Not just as the defence is innocent until proven guilty, but for the victims too!

These cases can takes so long to go through the justice system, it has huge affects in the victims.. if that twat was to dusrupt everything it could delay the trial etc.. more stress on the victims! Plus the victims are in danger of loosing their anominity!!

Seriously anyone who believes he should be freed has no consideration for the victims!! They should be ashamed of themselves as some of these victim's are children!!

"He gets beat up nothing ever gets done he says something people want him locked up that's what gets me mad free speech is dead "

OK.

In this particular case, one set of suspects were being tried separate from another set and the judge made an order that there was to be no publicity about the first trial as the trials of the second lot might be prejudiced.

Robinson publicised the first trial, was given a slap on the wrist and warned he would go to prison if he did it again. He did and he was.

Now from your point of view, he was actually helping the alleged paedos. If, contrary, to the judges order prejudicial information about them got out, their lawyers could then argue a fair trial wasn't possible and the case against them might get thrown out.

Thus Robinson was actually helping the people he says he hates so much.

Do you understand what freedom of speach is? Or reporting restrictions?

There are many trials with reporting restrictions, nit just involving muslims amd not just involving grooming gangs. Amd reporting restrictions tend to be lifted once a verdict is reached.

That's too ensure a fair trial.

Can you name me one case that robinson has brought to public attention that hasn't been reported on? Or any arrests that have arisen from his crusade against paedophiles?

So you think he should be freed? Even though he pled guilty? If Robinson was half tge idealist and hero hid followers think he was he'd have pled not guilty, even jayda and holding had enough of a spine to take the sentence that came with a not guilty plea.

Out of interest what other criminal offences should people be able to disregard?

Of course your opinion counts, just not for much...

But then how much does any of our opinions count on a swinging sites forum... Not exactly the place to get the law changed or Tommy free'd if that's what you want, is it.

People have already explained why reporting restrictions are imposed, do you think Tommy is above the law? Do you think it's a good thing that Tommy can jeopardise further trials so he can spout off, because of his hatred of Muslims? What exactly has been gained by Tommys revelations (on his fucking facebook) about some nonce that has already been charged and is currently in court facing and answering the charges set against him/them? It's not as if he's caught them personally and brought them to justice is it? Someone, (The Rozzers) has already done that haven't they? All he has done, as previously explained, is to increase the possibility of following cases being thrown out of court due to the lack of a fair trial...

Many people tell me things, I take a lot of it with a large pinch of salt... Lots of revelations in the last few years, Jimmy Saville, Ex government members, some dead, some all but dead, why didn't Tommy tell us about them? Probably because Tommy basically knows fuck all apart from court dates...

Lice streaming from outside court, filming the defendants, askng them questions such as "did you do it". Basically jeopardising the whole trial by potentially denying them a fair trial

" but that's not our fault the normal people of this country

"

It's exactly our fault (although I'm not sure I'm normal) at the end of the day we all have a vote. We're being led like lambs to the slaughter by a shadowy elite here and in the USA who control the media and the narrative.

These purport to offer dispassionate opinions on public affairs. But they are more like corporate lobbyists, working on behalf of those who founded and fund them. These are the organisations now running much of the Trump administration. These same groups are now running much of Britain. Liam Fox and what was the Atlantic Bridge and the Adam Smith Institute are good examples.

These are the groups who brought about Brexit so that they can make more money on the markets. They are more than happy for normal people to be entertained by Love Island and the Daily Mail. They love Tommy Whatever his Name Is because they can have a fearful population and bring in more suveillance of citizens with operations like Optic Nerve, Gemalto, Three Smurfs and Royal Concierge (look them up if you don't believe me).

Creating fear of particular racial groups is a age old tactic, a tactic Hitler used so effectively.

Not one to jump into politics on fab, but my brain has the blood supply so here we go!

Tommy is jailed, correctly. He knew he was in contempt, almost got pedos off and has been trying to take credit for exposing grooming gangs. Nazir Afzal did that, look him up. Tommy is using the victims to get popular.

Dark Justice snare pedos, then they give the evidence to the cops and don't get involved in the trial. They've caught loads.

" but that's not our fault the normal people of this country

Creating fear of particular racial groups is a age old tactic, a tactic Hitler used so effectively."

I think this is why Corbyn scares them so much and we constantly have all the press telling everyone he could never be a leader. He wouldn't tow their line as much as May et all...

There aren’t many games consoles in jails now because of WiFi internet connectivity. Also the 3 meals a day are pretty poor.

He will also serve half of his sentence in jail, th either half on license.

However, coming back to your point on foreign policy. The vast majority of terrorist attacks in this country have been committed by UK citizens.

They are criminals hiding behind a religious banner.

I’m in no way sticking up for TR, however it’s a serious business and facts matter."

It's just a pity they can't process and bang up the smack/crack/spice heads up as quick, most of them just thieve on a daily basis in Manchester with impunity, it's like fucking downtown Soweto

That's how contempt is dealt with the English courts. Always has been. If Robinson thought there was a legal point, he could have pleaded not guilty and then appealed. He hasn't.

As I say, he is no doubt working out how much he can earn once he is out posing as a. "free speech martyr" on the US alt right circuit.

A judge must be impartial, since he brought the charges, made the accusations, sat in judgement and passed the sentence is a solemn mockery of British justice, add to that the speedyness of the proceedings which does not give the accused time to prepare himself, procure a lawyer of his choosing...

A classic pre planned stage managed affair designed to silence those that speak out on issues of national importance

Other than this comment i shall never make any post regarding this individual.

Personally i think no body should comment or news report on this individual. I spent a long time pondering what to call this 'individual' that would be allowed to be posted but they were the best i could do.

Dont give him the publicity, airtime column inches and the individual will soon disappear into obscurity where the individual belongs.

You are welcome to change the word individual to a positive and or negative depending on whether or not you're a dickhead as well

“you should be under no illusions that if you commit any further offence of any kind, and that would include, I would have thought, a further contempt of court by similar actions, then that sentence of three months would be activated, and that would be on top of anything else that you were given by any other court."

He was tried

He was found guilty

He was given a suspended sentence

The judge explicitly told him that live streaming outside another courtroom would see him sent down

He did it again

While doing it he repeatedly acknowledged that he was breaking the law and due to the suspended sentence would go to prison

He was arrested

He was charged

He plead guilty at the first opportunity with a grovelling apology to the judge in an attempt to minimise the sentence he;d get

He was sent down

So, errr where's the gross injustice?

I'll get this one last try.

He did it the first time, was given a suspended sentence and was warned that if he did it again he would be sent to prison. He then went and did it again, so he can have no complaints.

Contempt in the face of the court is always dealt with as it was dealt with here. Court rules say a judge must deal with it immediately. The alleged contemnor will be found a lawyer and given time to discuss the case with him. If he decides to plead guilty as Robinson did, the lawyer will mitigate for him and the judge will then sentence.

This wasn't a fit up, it was a bog standard contempt hearing.

i am also going to put up the summing up notes from the judge to tommy robinson at the end of case 1 when he did escape jailtime.... because i think it is absolutely relevent to a lot of the arguements that are trying to be used to defend this idiot.....

"“This contempt hearing is not about free speech. This is not about freedom of the press. This is not about legitimate journalism; this is not about political correctness; this is not about whether one political viewpoint is right or another. It is about justice, and it is about ensuring that a trial can be carried out justly and fairly.

It is about ensuring that a jury are not in any way inhibited from carrying out their important function. It is about being innocent until proven guilty. It is not about people prejudging a situation and going round to that court and publishing material, whether in print or online, referring to defendants as “Muslim paedophile rapists”.

A legitimate journalist would not be able to do that and under the strict liability rule there would be no defence to publication in those terms. It is pejorative language which prejudges the case, and it is language and reporting – if reporting indeed is what it is – that could have had the effect of substantially derailing the trial.

As I have already indicated, because of what I knew was going on I had to take avoiding action to make sure that the integrity of this trial was preserved, that justice was preserved and that the trial could continue to completion without people being intimidated into reaching conclusions about it, or into being affected by “irresponsible and inaccurate reporting”.

If something of the nature of that which you put out on social media had been put into the mainstream press I would have been faced with applications from the defence advocates concerned, I have no doubt, to either say something specific to the jury, or worse, to abandon the trial and to start again.

That is the kind of thing that actions such as these can and do have, and that is why you have been dealt with in the way in which you have and why I am dealing with this case with the seriousness which I am.”

"Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, to give him his real name, should do the time he was given by the court. In that time hopefully some silly sausage will loose the key to his cell and he will be left there the rest of his days..

I don't mind nailing him up but can we also nail up the mountains of smack head thieving toe tags, benefit fraudsters and illegal immigrants

He comes close to ticking a few of those boxes doesn;t he? Banned from travelling to America due to drugs history. Convicted of travelling on a false passport. Convicted of mortgage fraud

I think he has got to that point if he dropped litter or parked in the parent and child space in a car park he would go down for it,

I just wish the police/courts and law makers would do the same for dealers pedos etc again. He could have fucked up a trial and allowed people he believed to be paedophiles to walk free. Even if I hated him. Even if the courts sent him down without due process, this could still have happened from his actions. It suprises me how much people defend this action.

I didn't and haven't defended him in anyway, He is watched, Followed daily by the police was one of points I was making, A marked Man, If they done the same to other criminals the country would be a better/safer place"

okay. I misunderstood. Even if he wasn’t man marked, I would hope he (or anyone else) gets caught facebooking live outside a court when he’s risking a paedophile ring trial. If a lawyer got such folk off on a technicality they’d be vilified. Yet are tommy (sic) is labelled a hero when he risks doing the exact same thing. Bizarre imo.

But lord help you doing a Facebook feed outside a court which may allow those criminals above go free.

Corbynites, and then they wonder why nobody will vote for him, you only have to look at who follows himFTFY.

The judge actually said it didn't impede the court case hence why it continued.

I'll give you a clue, there's no in-between, you either did or you didn't.

Only because he took steps to avoid this happening. Don’t give tommy any credit for this.

"It is pejorative language which prejudges the case, and it is language and reporting - if reporting indeed is what it is - that could have had the effect of substantially derailing the trial. As I have already indicated, because of what I knew was going on I had to take avoiding action in order to make sure that the integrity of this trial was preserved, that justice was preserved and that the trial could continue to completion without people being intimidated into reaching conclusions about it, or into being affected by "irresponsible and inaccurate reporting"."

If anyone at all reports that a defendant is guilty when a trial is ongoing they would be in contempt. If they do it twice, after being given a suspended sentence the first time they would be sent to prison.

Seriously, this is about ensuring we have a proper justice system where we can be as certain as possible that if people are sent down for serious crimes that they actually did them. As opposed to mob rule by the likes of Robinson who only have to know their religion to decide they are guilty.

Of course, when they are caught, charged with a crime, found to be, or plead, guilty and sentenced for their crimes. Unfortunately, unlike the complete and utter douche bag that is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, they just don't seem to make it so easy... call it martyrdom or stupidity, it is what it is...

Having done some more geeking out, it seems contempt is less from saying they were guilty, more for live streaming and saying they were being charged for something they weren’t. And then asking others to share. This is what could have prejudiced the trial.

the right frame of mind -London

While I despise this man and all he says/ stands for, I do also believe that people have the right to express their opinion. This is not to say that he should be allowed to say things without being challenged, quite the opposite. Putting people away/ censoring them for incitement does not expand the debate -instead it just fosters revenge and extremism. You have to talk to your enemies if you ever want to come to terms with or broker peace with them

Correction: he was imprisoned for breaking the law by live streaming during a trial on which reporting restrictions had been ordered by the judge. He has of course been convicted before for offences including assaulting a police officer

Correction: in respect of child abuse nearly 90 per cent of those convicted and on the sex offenders register are white men.

Funny that he never mentions the latter.

Where did you get this figure from? I've read the CEOP figures and it doesn't support your claim at all. Regarding type 1 offenders (the worst kind) it says:- "Of the 306 offenders whose ethnicity was noted, 75 per cent were categorised as Asian, 17 per cent white, and the remaining 8 per cent black (5 per cent) or Arab (3 per cent)."

Your hatred for the guy blinds you...

why won't you address the fact that he pleaded guilty to the charge????

Cant as dont know why he allegedly did so, there could be so many reasons for pleading guilty, he knew he was being fitted up, maybe he just plead guilty to get it over with, he knew it was a kangeroo court no doubt and knew he was not going to get justice..

But thats just my view as an ex con myself.."

but you keep excusing him...if anyone is brainwashed here i'd be pointing the finger at you.....

he didn't have to plead guilty.... but he did

he could have tried to appeal the sentence... but he hasn't

and yet... people like you think he is innocent, but he doesn't believe he is innocent himself!!!!!!

in a post further up i asked who said this?

“you should be under no illusions that if you commit any further offence of any kind, and that would include, I would have thought, a further contempt of court by similar actions, then that sentence of three months would be activated, and that would be on top of anything else that you were given by any other court."

it was the judge at the end of case 1 to Tommy Robinson.....

he can't say he didn't know what would happen because that judge just about said it in all ways except for a picture book!!!

so unless you want to use "selective amnesia" as a new criminal defence i am not sure why you keep trying to paint him as a martyr....

I agree partly that a lot of people in the police and social services turned a blind eye because of fear of being called racists.

However I think you'll find that grooming gangs were exposed and prosecuted by Afzal Nazir - a Pakistani and a practising Muslim. Not Tommy Robinson or whatever his real name is.

.

Your actually being a bit disingenuous!.

It's more a Pakistani grooming gang and even then it's actually a particular region of Pakistan, there's really not that many men from that region maybe a few hundred thousand, of which over 500 have now been imprisoned and they suspect over ten thousand young girl victims, many less than 12 years old.

It's a religious/cultural problem, the men themselves (including some of they're wives) fully admitted in court that they targeted white girls as they believed them to be "fair game" and "white trash".

You can't solve a problem until you admit the problem and sticking your head in the sand doesn't work that great either
