Why do folk send old face pics? I recieved one earlier from 2006!
You won’t look the same as you did then, so I don’t get it? He wasn’t impressed when I asked for a more recent one, I got abuse and then blocked.
I just don’t get why folk do it?  |

There used to be a couple's profile on here featuring a photo of a woman who looked in her 20s/30s. Though her age was stated IIRC as late 50s. Her husband wrote in the profile blurb that he knew it was a very old photo but she 'still looked just as good today' (or words to that effect).
So if that was true, why on earth not display a more up to date pic?!?  |

I think some do it to hide their age maybe or because it's the only decent pic they have taken .
I had a social years ago,he said he was 35,it was deffo an old pic as he looked 55 at least in person.

I couldn’t think of anything worse then seeing someone’s face drop as I walked in so I send a lot of face pics beforehand!
I also speak to people beforehand too...I don’t want either of us getting a shock by our voices either...
So hopefully when I meet someone there’s nothing too much to worry about...
...except that I’ve only got one foot that you can’t see in pics |

I don’t usually but a few weeks ago someone sent me a face pic and his dog was in the background, so I clicked on it to zoom in and when I clicked back I noticed the date (just a couple of months old) |

I look better now in my 40's than I ever did in my 20's/30's.
So ensure my pics are kept up to date regularly. Anything over a year old gets deleted and replaced. |

Reminds me of Gavin and Stacey when Dawn (i think) arranged a threesome with her husband and a black guy they met on the internet.

I like to keep my pics up to dat latest ones are only a few weeks ago to my first ones when i joined 6 months ago but i think using pics from years ago is a bit daft really like others have said the face drop is priceless |

I do the same if I'm intrested I go on snap chat and send lots of live snaps or video chat so there are no suprises you get what you see  |

If iam asked for a face pic i take the pic there and then and send. I often say i look like a bg of spanners but no filters funny angles ot lighting. Probably doesnt help my cause but its honest.
If its not liked then so be it. Thats what i look like ! |

I do find it odd when you see newly uploaded photo's with a date stamp of over 10 yrs ago or similar, I tend to assume it's a fake profile, I can't imagine someone going through a box of photos from the attic and thinking I must put this on fab!!
