In swinging? I would say most like me, but that does not mean that they would play with me. There would be the odd one or two who I have been blunt with because they cannot take a hint! (or a gentle let down!)
Outside, I am in business and no matter how I try to be a nice person, some still take umbridge!  |

God knows, I'm pretty sure I've offended a few people cos my mouth opens before my brain can catch up sometimes and i end up in a massive hole with my hubby trying to dig me out lmao. But it's rarely ever a one night thing with us so if they come back they must like... right? |

A manager I worked under for a bit, took an instant dislike for me, don't know why. Always having a pop.
After about a fortnight he said quite out of the blue "Do you despise me"?
"If I gave it any thought, I guess I would". I replied.
He left me alone after that. |

I would assume that people find things about me that they like and things about me that they don't.
After all, no one is perfect and trying to be all things to all men isn't a reflection of the true person. |

Having been lucky enough to enjoy an itinerant lifestyle, I can honestly say I’ve simply no idea how many 1000s of amazingly diverse and wonderful people I’ve met and spent time with,
But without the aid of something triggering my memory back to a specific time and place, I could never hope to remember my personal interaction with each and every person I've met….
So I guess if any of those people can still easily remember me, albiet it for good or bad reason !,..... I am truly humbled……

I wonder when I read these threads... So many people who say they don't care if they are liked or that anyone who doesn't like them doesn't matter.. But reading the posts almost everyday, you can see that people really do care if they are liked or not!
I always used to say that if people didn't like me, it was their loss and I wasn't changing for anyone. In truth, I did really care and it was more protectionist than accurate. I would see, reading other posts, that a lot of this is protectionism.
Not that it really matters, we all know in our hearts how we really feel...  |

I care less as I get older...which mabye as it should be...
I do think we all crave some aceptance...somewhere along the line...however small..
I`m far less inclined to people please as I was many years ago....I did all sorts to garner acceptance...
I`ve no real idea how people percieve me..its no bad thing sometimes getting feedback from those that don`t like you....sometimes they tell the truth...free of any emotional connection...

I know for every great fun friend you meet or know, sure as eggs are eggs, theres someone lurking,trying their darndest to spoil it, tread on your toes or simply fill their boots with gossip.
A "No thanks" is far easier to digest than to get along great with a person for so long then have to see them sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly distance themselves from you, safe in the knowledge its nothing you've done,but most likely idle,spitefull "lurkers".  |
