Seems to be a lot of attention seeking people constantly updating their status to bemoan the lack of sex, but you read their statuses, and they actually sound aggressive and rude as fk. And they wonder about their lack of action. Anyone else encounter these types of people/profiles? |

I suppose the whole purpose of statuses is to attract attention.
In fact so are profiles, and starting threads in the forum.
The whole website is geared to allow you to attract attention to yourself! |

If it's something I feel strongly about I will copy and paste it to the notes section on their profile to remind me.... Otherwise I ignore them. If they message I'm polite and chat but I don't encourage conversation |

The whole point of the site is to seek attention in one way or another, its just some do it well and others are just moaning winging negative idiots!
Lets face it, moany status updates are more than off putting and I often find a users updates speak volumes about them, way more than their usually very brief, if not non existant, profiles do. |

There are attention seekers all over the site in various ways (status updates, forum posts, profile text etc.) - as others have said it's surely the purpose of being here to seek attention to a greater or lesser degree - it's how you go about seeking that attention that is key.
Things like negative status updates would be a turn off for me - likewise continual pity poor me reverse psychology forum posts that seek attention along the lines of "I'll just sit here and be ignored no-one could possibly want me" - surely no-one finds negativity attractive and not sure why people don't realise that. |
