Some countries national anthems are as dull as ditch water, usually reflected by a majority of the team mumbling their way through them.
Some of the South American anthems are very upbeat and sung with passion.
Who would be the world cup winner for best national anthem? |

Having just listened to all the national anthems of the world cup starting 32 my conclusions are...
France-Best tune
Japan-Very Moody music and shortest of them all.
May your reign
Continue for a thousand, eight thousand generations,
Until the pebbles
Grow into boulders
Lush with moss...That's it, short and sweet!
Final conclusion...I have far to much time on my hands today.
Off to listen to some Gorillaz or Foo Fighters now to get my head in a better place! |

Most energetic national anthems in world cup?
Portugal
Russia
Germany
Brazil
Russia's is very similar to the old Soviet one, and though I don't agree with the ideology, they made some mean anthems |

"This reminded me of the old Billy Connolly skit about our national anthem:

Priceless!
God bless Billy Connolly and God bless laughter.
I'd vote for the Archers theme tune to be our new national anthem |
