"Rugby but would love to see football to have the same respect for the ref as rugby. "
Unfortunately I think rugby will just get more like soccer in that respect.
If you make a sport professional, don't be suprised when players start to think they are "the business". |

We have tougher sanctions than in football that's why respect will stay in the professional game |

"Which one do you prefer curious to know
Rugby myself
Definitely rugby.
You would think after 12 years of playing it I would be sick if it but I still love it "
I've been following it since I was 7! Nowhere near sick of it. |

I've broken myself time in and time out but through rugby I have been taught to always get back up and hit harder till I can't hit anymore, that's what rugby teaches |

Unfortunately I think you might be right, albeit slowly over a period of time. I've already noticed a slip in standards in that area a bit over the last 20 years. |

More of a rugby union fan esp six nations but keep an eye on football as many friends are fans so want to be able to talk about it
Also like watching american football
While enjoyed the football over the weekend would have loved to have seen the Irish rugby victory over Australia |

I saw it.
Sexton. Again.
The only tests you lose is when he doesn't play. |

"Yeah but prop forward power "
Well Furlong is undoubtedly the best in the world now, he's changing what the role of a Tight head is.
That said, any scrum dominance is still largely at the whim of the refs and I didn't think Australia (particularly Sio) got the calls they should have. |

Football for me - grew up watching it. I've tried to get into rugby more recently, particularly with 6 nations etc, and can appreciate a close exciting game, but I just don't think I really get it. |

"Rugby!
Like any game, a closer understanding of the rules makes it more enjoyable.
The added benefit is the players don't whinge "
Not seen a footballer use a blood capsule to cheat though ?!!

Rugby..... there is much better role models for our children playing rugby.
Football is a fantastic game but Watching a game whether it’s in the park or on the tv makes me feel like my children are seeing something I really don’t want them to |

Rugby, always. But playing it is way more intresting than watching. It was the only sport I stuck at and loved so much I'd get sad out of season. I used to live for the weekend (or a Wednesday when in the forces) for the next game. To be honest I don't really enjoy watching sports, just like playing sports. |

A one off...and just designed to facilitate a blood bin substitution rather than get a player sent off , or a penalty awarded.
The physio almost lost his job!
Still deplorable though.

Only because they are not clever enough to think of it.

Rugby every time. Better for building a team ethic and respect. Although the card waving thing that association football players do is creeping into the game. |

12 years? Get some time in...
It is disconcerting the number of times I've been on team in which no one was born when I took up the sport; props aren't allowed to retire. |
