A doggy dilemma

So, on Sunday I adopted my new best mate from the local dogs home.

Now am thinking, once he is settled and I start having people (meets) round again, is there any etiquette beyond telling people I have a dog ?

I have no real outside space other than the gated entrance path / yard, so putting him outside isn't an option.

I have bought a baby gate to segregate him from certain areas when I'm out, (which can obviously double up when I have guests round), but beyond that, does anyone have any recommendations ?

Just mention it in case they have an allergy or fear, beyond that, good on you for doing it, I have a rescue dog and she is my bestest friend! xxx

Some people are allergic to dogs, therefore, it is definitely advisable to tell people in advance that you have one.

I have been known to take mine with me on meets when I have to travel a long distance away or stay overnight, as stipulated in my profile.

He stays in his own collapsible soft travelling cage, which can be placed in whatever room as preferred by the host.

The dog will bring you loads of joy, as does mine, so good luck and enjoy!
