I've just seen a gator prank. Where a remote controlled alligator swims up to people (at a good distance)

A husband ran away without warning his wife and young child (he thought it was a real gator) about the alligator in the water.

He thought only of himself, in such situations is it harder to think of others?

I don't think any of us know how we'd react in a gator situation. I think I'd be trampling oaps to get away

I don't need to outrun the gator. I just need to outrun you

My Own Little World

Have you seen the footage of a family who got out of their car in the Cheetah enclosure in a safari park. Dad did a bolt when a cheetah charged them and left mum with the 2 kids, the youngest must have been about 3.

Fight or Flight. Learnt it in Psychology. In situations of danger, our primal instincts kick in. Adrenaline pumps into you and either gets you ready to fight (if the danger is percieved fightable) or gets you ready to run (if the danger is seen as too much). What that man did was a perfectly natural response that he probably had no control over. Seeing an alligator (even a robotic one) out of the corner of your eye, is enough to trigger a response
