Obviously on forums like this the first impression got about people can be what they write, either on their profiles or their forum posts.

Leaving aside those that are dyslexic and appreciating that many can be doing this on their phones or in a rush, does bad spelling or grammar put you off reading further? Or are you used to reading "onlineism"

Text speak really winds me up, it takes a fraction of a second longer to type actual words.

I always spot mistakes but, as you say, we can't judge a person for it as we don't know the reason. After all, this isn't a literary society!

However, I do give up when it's virtually impossible to make sense of what's been written!

I personally hate bad grammar. I don't judge people on it, but it annoys me.

I really hate it though when people don't use full stops or just use text speak.

Dyslexia aside, we all can misspell words or have typos and autocarrot, and in the main doesn't impact on understanding what a person is trying to say imo.

I've no idea on grammar, I write how I speak and if it makes sense then good, if I don't understand what someone's on about I just ask them to rephrase for me.

When people correct others spelling i think it makes them look completly stupid. Not sure what they are trying to achieve

This. I’m here for the potential of a bunk up. I watch Countdown for my dictionary fix.

I have been online long enough on different forums to get used to it, but sometimes still bugs me. I can't seem to read something without mentally proof reading it in my head.

I often find that mixing up "their" and there" and other words like that seem to get me most or someone describing themselves as "dominate" rather than "dominant"

In the past on occasions I have proof read things for people and asked if they wanted them corrected, especially if on a profile.

I'm in no position to judge other people's spelling and grammar because mine isn't great. However I do feel a bit miffed when I read should of, could, of, would of etc

Bad spelling & poor grammar I can abide, as long as I can understand it then all's good. Text speak on the other hand.....

Profiles that read like war & peace, but have hardly any full stops, spaces between sentences and are just one continuous paragraph just give me a headache

I'll own up my spelling and grammar are a work in progress.

There for I don't judge anyone. They may be lazy or just having difficulties like me.
