People like that are a massive turn off to me. I couldn't give a shiny shite if they only have a pushbike, but bragging about a fancy car ? errrrrrm no, not really - next !

I don’t think cars are much of a status symbol or a show of wealth anymore. Obviously excluding the supercars.

But the rate at which finance is given out on cars means the security be hand market is fuller than ever with high end, high spec cars.

The amount of car you can with £10k is ridiculous, push that to £20k and the likes of a Bentley aren’t out of reach.

The current trend seems to be car finance! Car finance for everyone!

Except most range rovers you’ll see out on the road are worth a fraction of an evoque

My best car (use the term lossley) was a red P reg Tigra. I absolutley loved her!! I used to carry 2 4 pint cartons of water in the back as she over heated. And when you closed the boot the passenger lecky window went down and back up again hahahah.

I have a lease car now. It has no personality.

Ellesmere Port

I used to know a guy who'd forever brag about how he owned a Range Rover. When I eventually got to see it, it was at least 20 years old and bright orange in the few areas where rust or holes hadn't taken its place.

He'd probably have had to pay the scrap yard to take it off his hands.

None of those details ever got mentioned though. Just that he had a Range Rover.

Only ever done it in a car 3 times. A Hillman avenger,a ford sierra and a Bentley.

I can honestly say that the Bentley was the most comfortable even though the other two were so long ago,I haven't forgotten the discomfort of a handbrake or gearstick poking me in the bum.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm impressed by ostentatious displays of wealth but next time a guy offers me a shag in the back of his car and it turns out to be a Sierra, I'll insist on getting a room.

Try a shag in a porsche, fuckin impo but lovely to drive and when Sarah is giving me a blow job on the m40 it's brilliant.

But the Peugeot 205 was just as good and we could fuck as well, although not at speed on the m40 lol.

In other words, who gives a shit what you drive, it's the fun that counts

Most are lease cars anyway so I take it with a pinch of salt. Mines not trendy but it's got 5 year warranty and roadside assistance, is only just over a year old and is completely paid for, I'll keep it until it's probably 10 years old or so, just like my last car
