Yesterday I thought how long it's been since I last stubbed my toe. Then, as I am a pessimistic misery (ladies ), I thought it's probably bound to happen pretty soon now.

Then I thought that thinking it will happen soon will now mean it will never happen, just becouse I thought it. But surely in thinking that it won't happen becouse of my thinking would mean it would happen due to my new way of thinking. Then I thought it wouldn't. Then I thought it would.

I just want to stub my toe now and end this. It's worth the mild pain for a few days.

So what's wrong with me?

To ease your mind, today I wondered how long it has been since there has been a report on self combustion. The papers were once rife with it, so people are either stopping it or self combustion has now been cured.

I read about Spontaneous Combustion in a book on the unexplained when I was a kid. Genuinely convinced it was going to happen to me.

Thanks for bringing it up again buddy.

My dad bought me that book when I was really too young which was basicly:

"The devil possesses young boys."

"Look at this picture of a ghost in a young boys bedroom. That could be you tonight."

"You're going to be probed by an alien."

Thanks Dad!

If it means that much to you, go and slam your toe against your bedroom door

Then go and lie on your bed

Then I'll come and kiss it better

My dad tried to re-wire a socket, he flew across the room as he didn't turn the mains off. He sizzled a bit and our freezer packed in for half an hour while we prodded him.

You're over anxious. If you weren't worrying about stubbing your toe you'd be worrying about something else.

A colleague of mine worried so much about a suggested change to our working practice that she implemented it herself before it was agreed, just to get some peace of mind. The change was never implemented.

I've done this. I quit a good paying job once becouse I just couldn't deal with the level of constant unnecessary change.

This wasn't unnecessary, an unwise solution to a problem maybe. She couldn't and still can't deal well with change.

I don't think you can alter how you are in this respect just alter how you deal with being how you are. Some of us aren't concerned enough about things and that causes its own problems

I was wondering the same recently. How weird. Wonder if it was something they were eating back then.

And what happened to the Bermuda Triangle?

..

I have absolutely no idea what’s wrong with you but I did stub my toe the other day. I kicked the sofa as I ran through the living room. It hurt and is very bruised!
