Take a step back and try and work out what's going on. Is the other person likely to feel the same way/in a position to feel the same way? If not, it may be best to cut your losses now before you dig in deeper and end up in pain.

Oh dear OP, It's not good when we catch 'the feels' but it' can be so easy to do. You need to learn to distance yourself a little if you want to be able to enjoy swinging without falling for anyone. I know that's easier said than done.
