I'm also the same at 88kg which I have no idea what it is in old money, but it's pretty good I think. By the end of August I want to be 90kg which is my fighting weight, guess I need to eat more pies, looking forward to the summer and "No salads were eaten in this post"

No.

The reality is that you've fully plateaued now and you need to shake up what you've been doing. Introduce new exercise types. Change eating habits again.

Continue down the road your on and I'll guarantee you'll be here this time next year still saying 'lost 1lb' 'gained 1lb' or 'stayed the same'

I hate to say it, but the OP has been asked more than once by me about his exercise routine, but won't respond. My guess is that he doesn't exercise, and is relying purely on diet, and that won't really work.

My impression is that this thread is, unfortunately, a 'look at me, didn't I do well' thread, rather than wanting genuine comment or suggestion. The OP does, sadly, seem to enjoy martyrdom

To be fair, and try to add perspective, the OP has been applauded for his achievement so far, but a previous poster is correct, he persists in a very negative, self-pitying attitude across a range of threads. WTF have you read through any of the ops previous posts on everything. He has a negative attitude to EVERYTHING. Over the last two years hes been given countless advice by many and has chosen to do nothing and contine making excuses. I think people have just come to the end of their tether with him

I have read all the posts, and I do think some of the responses from those other than the OP have been questionable in their sentiment.

I think what the OP has achieved is great and should be applauded and encouraged.

If people are at the “end of their tether” they don’t have to read or contribute to the thread

To be fair, and try to add perspective, the OP has been applauded for his achievement so far, but a previous poster is correct, he persists in a very negative, self-pitying attitude across a range of threads. In the same way that people don't have to read and contribute to this thread, he doesn't have to apply his brand of negativity to others. He has been offered very well meant advice many times, said in a spirit of generosity and concern, but seemingly will not listen.

This is Phil btw. Jem no longer comments as she has got to a point where she no longer feels comments are worth making in this particular context"

Thanks for clarifying this.

Jem has figured out she doesn’t have to read/contribute.

Why are you still hanging in there?

"Difficult to give any advice when OP won’t say what diet / exercise he’s doing. So we’re not going to bother any longer.,

Think he's with weight watchers, but I don't know much about them. They no doubt advise him, but of course he has to take the advise

Doubt very much he takes advice from anyone, to busy enjoying the martyrdom. As we said earlier, out of here as OP can’t be bothered to respond.

It’s not for the OP to post in a style according to the requirements of the readers.

If readers don’t like this ongoing thread about the OPs weight loss /gain journey - turn off, don’t read, avoid, move on!

Yep, and as OP hasn’t had the courtesy to reply to genuine questions on this thread then moving on, avoiding and ignoring will be what we’re doing. Nite nite Johnboy

The guy has lost 5 stone, nearly 25% of his body weight. That's a hell of an achievement. He didn't ask for your advice, so why don't you STFU. Some of you people just love the sound of your own voices."

Yes, and he's rightly been given cyber pats on the back for doing it. But the last few weeks he's come to a standstill and is wondering why. Folk offer him suggestions and they're ignored.

What do those folks want? Information from Op their advice has been noted/followed/recorded? How about meetings to see if KPIs have been achieved?

As I say - If it bothers those who are not happy with the postings - they don’t have to read/contribute

it strikes me that folk here are getting very bent out of shape about others making genuine comments in response to an OP. Is it worth reminding you.........your own advice actually, if you don't like what has been posted, don't read and don't contribute ?! My view, and that of others here, is that the OP's posts have begged a response. Advice has been given to try to help. Your contribution has been to try to stop those giving well meant advice. To those who have said that I should STFU, perhaps you should ?

And to those who ae losing weight, however you do it, well done and good luck !

I have supported Daz, on his threads, from the start. He has had a very difficult time, of late and I think he would agree that he sometimes needs a little kick up the bum to get him going again. He's done so well so far and I, for one wouldn't want him to slip back.

he does need a big shove or he'll stagnate and then, as you say, slip back. Hence my comments re both diet and exercise

Maybe changing the diet or healthy eating plan that your following can kick start your weight loss. Some have found that changing to/from weight watchers, slimming world,

Scottish slimmers, has helped. I’m sure other healthy eating plans are available.

Sorry for my flippant reply. I've been the opposite for the past 18 months as a battle with cancer meant I dropped down to just over 70kg's which at 6'2" wasn't healthy, I've now managed to get back up to 88kg through a high calorific diet and exercise. That's probably as high as I want to get now, so it's back to a more healthy diet and upping the exercise to keep the weight steady.

Perhaps we should all post out tips for keeping weight off so that OP can take tips from us all?

Daz, you've been complaining for months that no one will meet you. Here is a social event near where you live, a chance to show off that weight loss and actually meet people from Fab ! The council won't ask you to move on a Saturday night. You've done the family stuff you needed to.

Put it in your diary ! Make the commitment ! Show us all that new figure !!

"I know but i have a lot on my plant at this going to move soon plus working my self back to wear i was for know on my own with all the nice support i got on here any thanks for telling me

To be fair, Daz, you can't really complain about not meeting anyone if you won't take a couple of hours out to meet 20+ people from here on a Saturday evening i know that i see if i can make it but i not making a promises at this time till it near the time but thanks for all the support been given

Show us all that new figure !!"

That's great advice you've been given there Daz, embrace the love, kick the malaise into touch, be positive rather than negative............... etc, etc......

No more excuses, no more complaining. It's being put on a plate for you to meet new people. The next we hear from you, all we want to know is how good a night/afternoon the social was!

It's the perfect time to put your troubles aside, and interact with the people you're so keen to meet.

Slimming World is working for me but if you can add exercise to it you'll get much better results.

If you need any help getting into the diet give me a shout and I'll help as much as I can.

The socials cost nothing. What do you need money for?

Fair enough, we won't be commenting on any more of your threads from here on in. You've been given ample (excuse the pun!) chances to meet other fabers but seem to have an excuse each time. Hope your weight loss (& subsequent gain) is eventually successful.

As asked a lot of times, avoid the mans thread if he obviously annoys you so much as it is looking nasty to keep picking

A pound is a pound whether that is fat or muscle....it will just be a more dense pound if it is muscle.

so is 14stone the ultimate target, op ? Health experts say a better measure is waist size.......

what will you reward yourself with when you get there ?"

i do not know but we see when i get near to it as for waist size I've all read doped from 48 inch to an 40" waist as a reward making my wish come true loll

I've made a bit of a transformation too

I lost about 6kg in the last 2 months

My body is down from like 18% to 12% and I'm planning to keep going until I reach around 9 or 10%

Consistency is key, keep up the good work
