Wow! Very dedicated couple! Do you manage to earn good wages together? I would like to be self employed but always struggled with a clear cut plan that I could make a good wage! |

I currently have 3 jobs. 1 full time for a charity in facilities management. Then I have 2 part time support worker jobs.
So yes I work silly hours and sadly still don't have much to show for it. |

I work in Postgrad Medical Education - supporting and proving training and education for all our lovely junior and senior doctors in the NHS.
Love it. I’m passionate about it.

Sadly CL is no more lol.
On a serious note I worked two jobs for years. 55 hour weeks are a killer.
Now I don't need to any more so just do a three day week to keep things ticking over.
A four day weekend every week is a fabulous thing |

I'm a sound engineer, mostly live music. I've been doing that for about twenty years now. In the mornings I work at the local hospital stock keeping and shelf filling.
None of it pays very well but life is good on the whole and I'm better off than many. |

I'm a chartered professional consultant in the construction and property industry with projects across the south of England from Penzance to Canterbury (hotel anyone?) with values from £50k to £30M. I'm working v. hard to keep the workload under control and continue to grow the business which has nearly tripled in size over the past ten years, but I'm very well renumerated for it.
I enjoy my work but really need to recruit now! Plymouth is not the easiest place to find senior professionals especially as all the other firms are looking as well. But no fabbers in not looking to blur the boundaries here!

I have 2 businesses and work very hard. To me life is becoming more and more expensive. The cost of living plus raising family is extortionate, and I find it impossible to save a nest egg.
Having said that though I do live my life, and provide a good life for my children. I have a nice home, decent car, I eat good food, I have a few holidays a year, I have a great social life and I enjoy Fab with hotel stays and travel.
After all, it's no good being the richest person in the graveyard. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I took a temporary, part-time junior job as part of my development plan. It covers the fixed bills. I'm self-employed for the rest and sometimes it's very good and sometimes not so good.
I'm able to treat myself and others and can save (in the good bits) if I want something big.

I also work for her Maj, albeit indirectly. I love my job but have been on a pay freeze for the past 8 years, no sight of it ending any time soon either.
But we manage, we've always ensured that we can support ourselves on one wage, just wish it stretched a bit easier to a holiday every summer. When we go back to two full time wages in two years time we'll really see the benefit then.

I run a company with a couple of other directors and although it's long hours and can be stressful at times, I'm earning very good money. However, it's recently hit me in my 40's that I had no real pension plan, so I've been pumping a large percentage into that. |

Used to run a design company with ex husband (did it for 12 years)
When split closed the business and I trained to be an equine therapist and set up a new venture helping veterans and autistic kids (new bf was a veteran with PTSD) ex husband even though he was living with someone new got jealous and thou we agreed not to not target the new businesses in divorce, he was evil and did.. 2.5 years of nasty court battles... stopped doing as needed to sell horse boxes and horses.
Moved 500 miles to get a new start... (the bf turned out to be a nasty piece of work as well) now work at an airport which I totally love.. have my own place and no ties to anyone.
Been in Scotland a year now, so may look at setting up the equine therapy again (only have to work part time at moment) |
