I've got my first one in February on my shoulder. It's a good size too. It felt like wearing a woolly jumper - uncomfortable but didn't hurt. I was tired after work as well and almost fell asleep a couple of times (took an hour to get it done).
Not sure about pain levels on the foot though.
Good luck and enjoy it

I’ve had both feet done and one of them extends up my shin. The feet do hurt a lot and you may get some swelling, the ankle bone is pretty painful to be honest, how big are you planning on having it? If it’s small you’ll be fine but if it’s large you may get some puffiness for a few days. I love tattooed feet. |

"please get a hairless dick tattooed on your right foot never seen a hairy dick?
I'll send you mine then "
if you send her yours I am sure it would be a dick covered in nutella- now that would be a horrible thing to have on your foot |

I've got my foot tattoed and the pain wasn't as bad as I expected, but I never found my other tattoos to be overly uncomfortable.
But my foot was swollen for a few days after.

I’ve got 5 tattoos at the moment and am booked in next week for the first 8 hour session of my new one, tattoos in general are uncomfortable but if you like them then it’s worth it. Just keep in mind that if you don’t like it then the coverup has to be, on average, double the size of the existing tattoo to cover it well (hence 8 hours!) so make sure you get something you love |

"You can get numbing cream to put on first, Might help. But i also think the pain is part of the experience"
A few artists have told me the ink doesn’t go in as well with these, don’t know how true it is though |

I’ve got a few tattoos now and my foot was one of the most painful, I think due to the skin being thin there and all those pesky bones! Saying that, it depends on your pain threshold, mine’s very low Also bear in mind the healing time, try not to cover your foot tattoo with socks or shoes as much as possible, it needs to breathe and heal for a week or so, also use lots of Bepantheren. As others have mentioned, it’s an addictive pain, this could be the first of many OP! |

My artist uses this on longer sittings as you need to have broken the skin first before you can use it but it does help |

In a sleepy little village |
I had my foot done all down the side and up the ankle bone in mid April. The pain was immense, my foot was swollen and I couldn't walk for 2 days ! Well worth it but had I of known how bad it would be I might not of had it done. It took 5 wks to heal and even now it's slightly tender in places. I need a bit of it redone but can't face it atm |

"Thinking of getting one who’s got one and how much does it hurt when you have them done ?"
Tattoos hurt the most on the really fleshy area's of the body because of the extra nerve endings if you want one on your foot try and get one with heavy detail at the bottom of your ankle and less details when its actually on your foot x |

I have one on each foot, wasn’t to bad, hitting the nerves was probably the worst part but you really have to be careful with aftercare, I did everything I was supposed to but they still got infected and every time I stood up they would swell and feel like my feet were going to burst!! Want them covered up now but 10 years later I still haven’t got round to doing it |
