There’s plenty of women and couples that do it, if you wink back usually nothing. So I presume single blokes are expected to message them after they wink. |

I’ve never winked. Or sent the first message. But to me it infers interest but not confident enough to make the first move. I think a wink ignored would feel better than a message ignored?
Neither of us are very confident and still feel quite new to all this so that’s how we see it x |

That’s pretty much it, if they send a wink it shows an initial interest, then the onus is on the guy to come up with a well crafted message. It’s just the way this are on this site |

I wink as a way of showing I'm interested in the profile. If the profile checks or winks back I will then send a message.
The question is. Why don't some profiles respond when you send a nice introduction message?
They had a million messages, so didn't have time...
Didn't say "strawberries" in the intro...
Hasn't got enough/too many verifications...
Or they read it, then press mark unread and leave it for weeks before putting up a status of a mass message delete...

I'm OK with people sending a wink - it's a fairly fast way to check if there may be potential mutual interest with me, without the hassle of another message being written that may go u replied - based on their experience with others.
I grasp that a lot of single men in particular get disheartened through the lack of response. A wink is easier and if I return one, they can send a message and feel more confident that I'll write back. |
