Scenario - you've been talking to someone on fab, you're going to their house for the first time
Would the way it's decorated put you off them? Or would just the house being clean be enough? |

"As long as they don't have the Television mounted above the fire place I'll let anything else slide."
I have a coal fire so that's never going to happen.
Well, I could mount the tv above the fire, but probably not for long |

Cleanliness I am.
Unless they’ve got a Nazi shrine or anything like it. Even if it was spotless! "
*writes down, "hide Nazi shrine"*
That makes sense |

To be fair I think we would be a bit wary if someone offered to accommodate and then went on to say they didn’t have a sink .
Renovation is fine , but it may be wise to not to offer to accommodate till it’s finished .

Can you accommodate too? I’ve stopped meeting because often guys can’t accommodate whoever hosts had to make sure house always immaculate, provide drinks etc the guy turns up, possibly judges and sods off
I haven’t decorated recently because I want some building work done so dining room, kitchen and bathroom aren’t the way I’d like to present them to people |

Good job she asked though if it was important. I would never have thought to ask if you had a sink or not |

Saw a beautiful picture of a lady in a foam bath, you know the pic boobs bobbing in the bubbles etc, then I noticed black mildew on her tile grouting and couldn't take my eyes off it, was even going to message her to see if she'd like me to sort it out! |

Keep your lawn tidy!"
My lawn is beautifully mowed it’s the rest that looks like a Country garden from Gardener’s World that I hate. What’s wrong with a few tidy bushes? Eh!! ? |

I am a bit fussy with areas.
Went to meet a guy in Glasgow.
Then followed him to one of the worst streets in Glasgow.
I must admit I was scared.
But yeah I do like a clean house.
Don't mind old fashioned

Clean and tidy is fine.
Met a fella who was having work done on his place and he had no carpets or floorboards. Had to step across the joists. He had Acro Props holding up the ceilings downstairs too... Apart from looking a bit like a building site it was mostly clean though
Nice fella, I wonder if he is still on here? |

When do men even talk about decorating? |

"As long as it looks clean an smell nice. "
I wouldn’t dream of inviting anyone over without making an effort to tidy and clean beforehand, and our house is generally good in that way, most of the time.
But what pisses me off, and has really made us start using clubs now, are the guys, yes it’s just guys that arrange a meet with us and any or all of the below happens.
- we take time off work ie finish early to do the above for no shows or late cry offs
- give out our address for no shows
So now I’ve had a gut full of the lack of respect shown for our Home meets, we now get guys moaning because they don’t meet at clubs ( too scared, too far, can’t get there, blah blah).
Being invited to someone’s home is a privelige. |

Clean and tidy is what we all expect
No kids upstairs asleep
This happened to us a while ago.....really
No damp dog smells....instant turn off
I would never invite someone to ours without giving it all the once over
Bad surroundings can certainly put people off wanting fun

Mostly meets are at mine and my house is always very clean and tidy as am I.
If I turned up at a house, no matter how much I wanted the meet to go ahead, if the house was dirty, I would leave. The decor would not affect my decision to stay; it's their home, not mine. |

I don’t care about their decorating style although if it were full of Taxidermy, photos, pictures/art i’d probably be more interested in that than anything else.
But cleanliness is important.

My house is various shades of beige and light brown and oak floors. Even my cat is beige and brown, so I'm no Ann Maurice...but a clean environment is important. I met someone who lived in a hmo bedsit in a converted hotel. The occupants were mainly single men and there was only two bathrooms a floor...I asked him to drive me home. |

If it's too tidy I feel scared to move, in case I mess something up.

I got the piss taken out of me for not having much furniture. And the piss taken out of a poster in my bedroom.
It irritated me. And played on my mind.
I do occasionally have shavings on the floor from the rabbits, daughter doesn't wipe her feet and neither do they. But they aren't knee deep, I hoover nearly every day and the rabbits are kept clean. |
