Presenter Tess Daly is in the top echelons of the wage bill earning between £350k to £399k whilst her co-host Claudia Winkleman, who is paid between £450k and £499k, is the BBC's highest earning female star.

They are just presenters, don’t have any input. They do play with their own script and make changes as they see fit for their public image |

Does Claudia do more work for the BBC?
She currently has a show on Radio 2 and has that cooking show too on the telly that she hosts.
Tess, as far as i’m aware, just does Strictly. |

Read all the posts, no discussion at all on my point. Being a misogynist perhaps makes you a little blind to the truth... It isn’t funny, if you have an issue with pay look at football players, tennis players, heads of large corporations - the vast majority are male and the justification for their pay is far more questionable. Sort that out and we can then start looking at pay lower down the scale. |

It probably has to do with the fact that Claudia works more hours than Tess over the year.
I mean would you work for the same wage per annum as somebody who works half the hours you do in the company, doing the same job? |

These people get paid what they are offered. There will be researchers working pit who's popular and who isn't. Viewing figures dictate, I can't get animated about TV personalities, it's always the same. The more people turn off the less work and cash they get...it's simple economics and there's always someone else who will do the job. |
