Help !!!!

I am on the last hurdle and it’s gone so so so slowly ! I do SlimmingWorld and to try shift the last bit I’ve been calorie counting too , but even that’s not helped me shift more than one lb .

Someone please tell me is there a magic ingredient lol !!

( Upping exercise only leads me to stop loosing weight and tone up which isn’t my goal right now )

No magic "bullet" but even without any exercising I found what I did not too onerous or difficult.

Homemade porridge with chopped nuts for breakfast, fruit and raw veg for lunch, normally roast chicken breast and plate full of green veg, no potatoes, for dinner.

No you won't but you've got to eat to keep your digestive system working, which is why breakfast is important because it kick starts it, otherwise your body can actually "shut down" and go in to a sort of starvation mode and you can still put weight on even eating less.

Mix it up and eat more some days and less on others also a blow out treat meal sometimes works. I have been doing it since Christmas and have had the same which is really frustrating.

I’ve done it and only lost one lb lol

And all the right foods . All calories in fruit veg whole some food etc

Erm

Seriously upping exercise is the correct way however

IF , IF ? Your weight is staying exactly the same and you think you are toning then you are indeed losing fat

Toning per se does not exist , you either make muscle or lose fat

If you think you're tone then you have lost fat , adding muscle is hard and hopefully you have added a tiny amount , this is preferable as muscle will burn fat

It sounds like it's going well

Weight is NOT your concern unless you must be a weight for a comp ?

Beyond that exercise more eat less but in small increments,

Obviously you need to watch your macros protein, carb fat

Lower carbs to around 100 do not touch sugarfat. (Cheese cake ,flapjack, pizza anything shitDonalds ) drink lots , eat eggs eat nuts

But best tip , have 4 days off . Don't blow out just increase cal by 15% and rest

Then continue a little less cal and more more intense exercise

But if you're near your target then it will take longer. Much longer. Why worry about it? I've got 11lbs to go to target and honestly I'm happy right now but I think I'd benefit more from being toned than being skinny fat. I'm not going to be ruled by numbers. It's more about how you look and feel.

Weight loss is harder to gauge for women since they tend to retain more water and their weight can vary more due to hormonal cycles. It may be due to that but if you're losing weight still then keep going. If you're the same weight 4 weeks on then you either need to reduce calories or increase the amount of exercise you do (and no that doesn't have to be lifting weight, a brisk walk before breakfast is pretty good)

Ok do you mind telling me why weight ?

Because other than reaching weight for a sport rules or to have an op there are no other good reasons to lose weight

If it is just to HIT a target weight then I'm sorry that is foolish don't do it

Your mirror or your friends are your friend , your scales are not !

Why worry about what the scales say if you look good?

You do know muscle weighs more than fat. Have a look on google at 5lb of muscle compared to 5lb of fat, muscle weighs more but is much much smaller than the fat when you see it in the pictures.

When you go to the gym ask them to measure you properly with calipers and do all your measurements everywhere. Even if you're not losing weight and weighing less on the scales your body will be getting smaller.

Eat 6 times a day. If you're doing slimming world and feel like you're not losing anymore try strict keto for 2 weeks.

Change the free & speed foods you eat regularly, drop carbs to a minimum - the last few to target are always the hardest. Are you still measuring your a & b options? And drinking plenty of water?

Try chatting to your consultant or other target members in your group - and good luck

Be happy it is a loss you are having, I went six months of no loss

Have you measured yourself from the start? I found when it didn't show a loss on the scales it showed a loss in inches, in fact a whole dress size I went down without any lbs lost on the scales.

I then thought sod it, I am going to eat what I like for a few days and it kick started it again. I also found if I drink more water I lose more.

If you are following slimming world you should know that you dont count calories. Make sure you are having 15 sins, a and b chooses and lots of free food. Eat 3 meals plus 2 snacks. Sometimes reading the book again refreshes some of the things we forget along the way. The plan doesnt change when you are near target weight. Im a target member and have been for a few years. All the best that last push is the hardest

Do you mind me asking why you want to hit a certain weight?

Weight = your whole body mass.

Bones/ muscles/ water/ blood/ organs etc

Fat= fat

Your focus should primarily be on fat loss.

The number on the scales does not define you!!!

Nobody cares if you’re 9st or 11stone.

I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been yet the leanest.

If you’ve built muscle ( which is denser than fat) then it’s possible the scale weight won’t move.

Use measurements & photos to track your progress..

Ditch the scales!!

The weight I am doesn’t reflect my size , I want to weigh less so I’m not doing my exercise any more until I loose more weight , I do have fat so I know I can loose it through diet just doesn’t want to budge

I weigh all my healthy extras and count everything correctly .

I am only now counting calories as well because I was thinking maybe I’m over eating on free / speed foods

Oh and muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat it’s just smaller lol 5lb is 5lbs whatever it is lol

Thanks. No I’m over weight and want this last stone off

It will shift I just need ideas , and I’ve been given some so il shift my speed foods around a bit etc

Up your activity levels, go for longer walks, introduce cardiovascular training. Nutrition and exercise go hand in hand.

This has certainly helped me. I didn't realise that sticking to the same exercise routine doesn't help. I've changed the amount and mixed up the type of exercise and that seems to have had a positive impact and I'm losing again. I guess as you lose more weight it takes more effort to shift it?

I know you say about not toning up right now but have you tried HIT training . If not look it up . Just 6 mins a day say 4 days a week will keep you burning calories when you are chilling

I know you say about not toning up right now but have you tried HIT training . If not look it up . Just 6 mins a day say 4 days a week will keep you burning calories when you are chilling "

But that’s not how SW works. Have you tried going back & pretending it’s your 1st week? Weigh everything that isn’t a free food & being careful with syn-free foods? Are you having enough sybs? Are you drinking enough? Hot weather makes a huge difference to water balance xx
