Who would of thought it that another supergiant closes, putting 5000 jobs at risk, that is 11000 jobs lost within a month with frasers closure too, what went wrong, could brexit be to blame, or online shopping? |

Exeter Bristol Salisbury |
On line shopping. Business rates but in Poundworlds case it was simply a case of inferior products and the inability to compete with the bigger names like Wilko's. Tescos. B&M Bargins etc. shoppers soon realised that they were not that good value |

"I think people have got wise to the fact a lot of stuff they sell can be bought for less elsewhere. XXX"
And it’s not short dated , and can be found in shops that aren’t full of chavs or screaming babies and their oblivious Mums . |

The old owners had seen this coming for years.....it's a hard market to sell just for a £1 and much of thar just give them a gross profit of around 100...so given the market place I think they made a wise move to sell up when they still looking pretty
Nearly had a business....the final nail in the coffin was when through prices some well above a pound...but thar said it's still a sad loss to the workers who will loose Thier jobs. |

Nothing to do with britexit.
All to do with greed, always cheaper to get items delivered next day included from ebay or amazon than go to the highstreet, hence why low shopping numbers to pay the high rent demanded by the highstreets. Like me i very rarely ever go to the shops to buy items, always order from ebay as always cheaper than the stores.
This is just the beginning, many more to come |
