I think it is a good idea, they will can study and get better grades and learn more, instead of being on facebook in the lessons, whats your view, is it good? |

My teacher told me I couldn’t carry a calculator around with me in my pocket all the time 
I say we ban school and put them to work earlier.
They can google anything they need to know. |

Good idea.
Or if the kids insist on having a mobile phone. So thay can call home ect... Then Thay shood be given a basic 1 that is just a phone with no internet access.

Banned already in my sons school. They have to turn them off and leave in bottom of bag. Not able to access them on school grounds at all not even on break. |

How about a few communal phones?
They’re on a security rope like in the phone shops. Those with good behaviour get a reward of one Facebook status update, one snapchat or an Instagram upload.
I think we’d see a drastic improvement on behavioural standards  |

Then you'll have some parents complaining on Facebook how terrible the school is because they took their childs phone off them. "My child could have died and they'd have no way to contact me!! That school is awful, putting our children in danger like that"
Then all their friends hitting like and slagging off the teachers saying how bad they are. I've seen similar unfortunately.

Excellent! So the French will grow up an ignorant nation who can’t use Google will Britain nurtures generations who can remain pig ignorant but know how to use Google to get info they need! Therefore the French will waste time learning stuff they could just find online and their economy will collapse while we surge forward as a google-based knowledge economy fit for the 22nd century. Who the hell would want to live in France anyway! Just the land of overpriced wine and bad-foot-smelling cheese! |

I think it's a great idea. Don't know if they could get wifi/ mobile signal blockers.
When I was a lass they didn't even have cars, let alone phones. We had to use morse code to tell our thousands of followers what we had for lunch. |

I would freak out if my kids couldn't take phones to school. They have a 30 minute walk to and from school! I need to know they are able to contact me if they need to and vice versa.
They have to turn them off when they get there and if they get them out they are confiscated until the following Monday, that's good enough for me. |

Most schools have a ban. I’ve seen many kids text under a table while having a conversation with a teacher pmsl most kids can write a text with out looking  |

at my sons school, if they get a free lesson, or if its the last day of the school term then they can listen to music on their phones, or they share funny youtube clips with the class |

Micro managing is not engaging. Kids will rebel when they're told they can't do something, trying to force rules on to them and then wanting them to look up to, respect and bond with those teaching them isn't going to happen. |

The school i work in has banned them during the school day. we are a boarding school and they get them back in the evenings .. they are so much more sociable now! |
