Every time one turns on the telly, the news is depressing, full of doom and gloom.
Let's flip the script on that shit. Give us a good news story from your local area. Whether it's a local hero, or something heartwarming, the only stipulation is that it's made you smile when watching or reading about it. |

"I don't read newspapers or anything like that. As you say it's all doom n gloom.
I may have a look at the local news online and see what gives."
I'm currently doing the same, sadly it's a struggle to find good news apparently. |

"On a lighter note, here’s a skateboarding badger!
Perfect. That's the shizzle I'm looking for.
What's not to like about a skateboarding badger? "
He’s wearing a jaunty hat and a monocle too! |

"Don’t watch the news. I haven’t for 10 months it’s brilliant, haven’t got a fucking clue what’s going on. It’s all propaganda anyway. "
I don't either. I figure if Trump is going to send us to nuclear war I'd rather just be instantly obliterated than worry about it for months.
Good news here OP- a local charity event made a ton of money and they will be able to buy the equipment they need. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Local good news from my neck of the woods: Two local boys (18 and 13), one with ASD, did a sponsored climb of Snowdon to raise money for a community kitchen. They are planning to get other young people to make a meal for local pensioners in the new kitchen.
In personal news, almost everything went my way today. The only fail was finding a new toilet seat. |

Our local news is all a bit grim so I'll drop the nugget about my visit to a local park. The ice cream man there has started to sell Double 99 waffle cones, with 2 Flakes.
If that's not reasons to be cheerful, I dunno what is. |

I don't watch the news or read newspapers or own a TV.
This is the only social media thingy I'm on.
It's been quite s few years now since I got rid of all the nonsence - I feel so much better not knowing any of it |
