the Dentist it's almost impossible, rang this morning for a check up and the earlies I could get was February

been waiting since august to have a impacted tooth out have to wait for january just to go for check up..god knows how long i will get the damn tooth out...so pass the pliers

Are you still with the NHS Kev, I'm private but it's now costing 25 quid a month to be in the club!

when i go you get an appointment at the time for your next check up and then they text you a couple of days before appointment

i agree with personal choice but when the nhs trained dentists decide to go private some are left out..

elderly people and people on low income cant afford the costs pcm, if your elederly with no car and a shite public transport system it must be a nightmare to try and access an nhs dentist..

not advocating a return to all nhs trained dentists ditching their private patients but they should have to see a preoportion of nhs patients

if they refuse to then they should be made to 'pay back' some of the cost of their training..

My dentist was an NHS/private dentist who went fully private when many of them did, he's now opened up his practice to lots of NHS patients again.

I think a lot of the dentist are taking on NHS patients again. Just as well he has done. Even NHS prices are more then some can afford.
