Enough of the women bashing guys! This is a thread about celebrating women who you deeply admire. They can be great historical figures or people in your life. Please let us know why you admire them. I shall be chivalrous and give the mic over to the women now   |

Look at any list of "great people" they are usually skewed towards men.
Aside from Queens, How many statues of great women are there near you? How many women on our banknotes?
How many women have won votes like Sports Personality?
Fact is these things haven't changed in decades. |

I wonder if the reason for the disparity between the number of historically recorded male figures and female comes down to the amazing sacrifices women often make for others. Whether it's for their families or for others, great women are often uncelebrated because they chose not to take the limelight for themselves but humbly invest themselves in others. Just a thought |
